Would also like to know if Randalls was affected? I'll assume so since they're part of Safeway.

In Hawaii, the one Safeway I've checked has pulled all 20-500 variables "for marketing reasons". I politely informed management and staff that this would probably lose them some business, and that it would be the last time I step foot in Safeway until the cards are brought back. I'd rather give my grocery spend to mom and pop stores if the big box stores don't have what I need.

The way he said it, I was under the impression their particular store was losing money because they had extremely high volume; I wasn't sure if this was chainwide or location-specific. I haven't had the heart to go to another store today to check it out.

I don't know if it is interesting or scary that Safeway owns something like a 96% share in Blackhawk.

Adding to the datapoints... multiple Safeway stores around me have pulled the variable GCs from their shelves.

Huge blow unfortunately..

Same here. Three stores in my 20 mile radius all void of variables.

Still have 40 days of uncapped Blue with nowhere to spend. Guess I'll call it quits early...

Maybe the death of every MS opportunity is what's causing the stock markets to crash.
