A couple cashiers at my local CVS know I'd come in regularly to buy cards... first the VR when you could still get them with a CC, and then the VGCs until WM killed those. Unfortunately nothing left to go there for, since all GCs are vanilla/incomm.
Suppose I can do the MO thing, but its pretty limited in my area with who accepts debit cards. |

Probably bought a GC to try out at various stores...you can buy them in small denominations if you don't feel comfortable with a $500 one.
Now if only I could find the people who wiped out the OneVanillas from my local CVS and follow them to see how they do it. |
Yay! I found a store that takes "debit" so I was able to cash out my OVs from last week. Sure it will suck going from $1000 MO for $0.00 to $500 MO for $0.79-$0.89. However, it will be cheaper than the $5.95 GCs at the grocery store and I can split up my purchases (not all at grocery store).

My MOs are all grocery store and i am kind of in a confused mode about what to do with all the left over $.21 cards. Thinking about taking only $995 MO and putting the change in Amazon gc. any thoughts on this are appreciated. |

Are there places that accept debit but won't accept GCs? I can't even find a singular place to accept debit. I guess living in a smaller town doesn't work.

Why is it so hard or people to ask for a MO with change added?
One store I go to charges $0.99 for a MO. I proudly proclaim I want a MO for $499.01. Not a penny goes to waste. |
So does everyone typically have better luck getting MOs from small, local stores or from big chain stores?
All the grocery stores I have here are either wal-mart or local to the state, and none of the local ones accept debit for MO. |
