Thanks. Had it been any other day, I wouldn't have worried about it too much, but somehow I just couldn't get the thought that CVS's change had screwed something up out of the back of my mind.

Same here. I don't really have any other reason to visit CVS, so now they'll just be sad reminders on the side of the road of the way things used to be.

so i am assuming people are not able to buy GCs at CVS either right?

I'm not a newbie, and I can careless of "don't give them any ideas" since the last of the CVS that I could buy reload wasn't my usual location. I probably will never go there again.

Yet, others may go to that store.

And, why should I care? If they have a chance, they clean the store or hide or steal. I have never ever bought $5k in a single store until today, but people here do. So, why should I care?

You can. I tried on one location where VR purchase was cash only. I gave the cashier VR back, and I grabbed 2x OVs next to a register and it was done.

CVS was and has been in business a long time, bet your 3.99 will not make a blip in their company earnings.

You had a good ride why cry about it, you were never a profitable customer, you were a cherry picker...

I will definitely visit them again, and one day they may repeat.

Easy to see why 80% are losers

From an altruistic perspective, I can think of several reasons to care. From a self-centered perspective, I can't think of one.

I was able to buy an OV but no MVD. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can I just buy an MVD for $3.95 cash and put no money on it when buying? I need to load extra VRs so I don't have to sit on them for a month.

Also, poor behavior by others does not justify me to act poorly.

That's your moral. Don't enforce your moral to me or anybody else but on yourself.

Thanks

I did not place moral values on those statements.

As well, I clearly said for "me" in the second statement.

Everyone has their own barometer.

Point taken, thank you. I rephrased my comment.

Best of luck to you.

Nope but you can put $20 the min (thats why its says $20-500) I was gonna do that as well, till I realized I can use them for my May BB load and then pay off a CC that will be due the end of May

If you dont have a H&RB DC see if you can get that, but their max is $5 per month load

Don't give them any ideas.

Today when I went to one CVS they were out of VR cards (not unusual) so I wanted to buy two OV cards. Clerk first said that she thought they were cash only. Told here that I thought it was only "reload" cards that were cash only. She checked with another clerk and they thought the same thing but agreed to try the charge. Of course there was no issue so they allowed me to buy what I wanted.

Based on their words, it appears that the VR cards are hard coded in the system (because of their comment about trying the OV card to see if a CC was accepted).

Bottom line is that many of the clerks have just been told about the change and have not studied the memo to really understand what is, and what is not, accepted.
