My usual store today surprised me with the only Cash for Vanilla Reloads. Clerk mentioned something about a email they received. Politely walked out of the store and returned 10 hours later. Had some push back this time again, but clerk went ahead and processed the transaction, to his surprise it worked!

No, it's not - I and others have posted repeatedly that some (most?) CVS don't care if you split transactions, so as long as you buy 2x$499 at a clip you won't have to deal with a scan. Yeah it takes a little longer if you want to snarf up $5k and is entirely YMMV, but every cashier I've done this with doesn't care.

Why lose $2?
I do $500 + $499.99 and it doesn't trigger ID check ;)
Remember, the trigger is $1000.

Yeah, ok. Just makes it easier to do multiples of same amount with the cashiers I get, they're confused enough as it is when I split it up.

just did 2k today at another local cvs .. they scanned my ID but since it was the manager this time .. he ran my ID under a counterfeit light and also asked me if i had another form of id with a picture LOL .. i said no just another cc or my insurance card and he said no problem.

Also saw another guy getting VRs with a SPG. Was going to say hey to another MSer but then was like I don't want to be that guy lol
