They are more likely to be where you left them if where you left them is your car or home. These a-holes don't get it, that by hiding/taking the cards, they are messing up the supply chain.

Hi Guys/Gals. Just curious. I know ppl are switching over from BB to Serve because of direct load, no VRs.

I did the same. But the few issues I have with it is loading the Serve card. I have 2 Serve acct. (me and SO).

1. I have to load $500 in 4 separate transactions (time consuming, and customers are waiting behind me. I try to go when no customers are in line, but the line forms after I get to the cashier)

2. I can only swipe my CC once because the 2nd one will automatically go to fraud check because I am making 2 swipe at the same POS machine. So that means I have to use 4 CC, or in combination with Amex GC.

I am not complaining. I have to do what i have to do. I wonder how it is for those that has like 3+ Serve accounts.

Wow a DL scan and a manager approval? Boy I would hate to go to that CVS for VRs. Perhaps you will have to go at night or in the morning when there is less traffic.

You can do serve loads to two or more different cards on the same transaction. Just not two loads to the same card on the same transaction. I have 3 serves so far and do 500 on each for 1500 then ask the cashier politely to do it again. If there are people in line I go to the back of the line to do the second 1500. It took me and the very nice manager at my closest CVS a while to figure this out. Now I'm in and out no problems now that my card issuer has figured out that i like to shop at CVS a lot and stopped doing these fraud alerts.

Oh. So you can load $500 to Serve1, then load to Serve2, then load to Serve3. Then swipe your CC to pay $1500?

Right now. I just give them Serve1, load $500. Swipe CC, get receipt, then ask cashier to load another $500 to Serve1. 2 Transactions, 2 Receipt.

Thanks for this explanation! I just switched my acct to Serve and was curious how I was going to handle loading it and my Serve#2 without having to make multiple trips.

This happened to me about 7-10 days ago. Had purchased $1000 at a different location earlier in the day (was this stores limit apparently). Next location, first $500 card rang up fine, then apparently I hit my limit when cashier rang up the next. Showed me the prompt and everything. I shrugged it off and just went back the next day, no issues then.

Just to counter the comment about the CVS manager who's sick of selling VRs, last week was the first time in several months of MS where I was rung by the manager at my local bean store. He casually asked if these earn me points, I said yes and he commented on how cool that was and that they sell lots of beans every day. I was surprised to say the least.

He's just salty because prepaid/GCs don't count towards his store's sales (they have a target $ amount they are supposed to hit every day)

Do All CVS Stores Code As Drug Stores?

With the Citi Dividend card you earn 5x at drug stores during the 1st quarter. I made VR purchases from 2 CVS stores this quarter. I got the 5x from one of the stores, but only 1x from the other. I checked my statement and the 1x came from a CVS that was only coded as "CVS" whereas the 5x one coded as "CVS Pharmacy".

Has this happened to anyone else? Should I call Citi to ensure I get the 5x? I really don't want to bring attention to my account and the series of $503.95 charges from drug stores this quarter...

Well if they didn't stock the cards then they would get 0 money from me, since I normally shop elsewhere. Has it is when I go in to buy cards I usually end up picking up other items, so they do make a profit as a result.

Update - every store in New Orleans (city limits) that I normally get beans from has limited me to $1000/day as of last week. The ones in the burbs have not put any limits as of yet.

This may be that the 1x CVS is coded improperly for some reason, in which case calling Citi will do no good - they will just default to the way the store is coded.

There was an issue back in January where there was an issue on Citi's end. When where the 1x purchases made?

Thanks for the info. The 1x purchases were made last week.
