Hi everyone,

I've spent the last hour skimming this thread and was hoping to get confirmation on a couple of things. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise.

I've had a Paypal account for 10+ years that's been used occasionally. Early on I used it to pay for things from eBay. Nowadays I mainly use it to pay friends (or to be paid) for trips we take.

My wife-to-be and I are getting married in Mexico at a place that suggests payment via Paypal. We've done our due diligence and are completely convinced it's legitimate (we've seen other people mention it online, it's an individual that owns two huge houses that rents them out). I could pay for this from my checking account, but I'd love to find a way to maximize points earned.

Now to my questions:

1) I know Paypal My Cash Reload cards can't be bought from CVS anymore, but I'm hoping to find them at grocery stores or gas stations. I know I can load my Paypal account and send money to people with them, but has anyone tried sending $10K+ before using just Paypal My Cash Reload cards? Any potential problems (besides the load limits, which we'll get to in the next question)? Again, this isn't manufactured spend; the money is not going back to me in any way. I will either have to transfer this via Paypal from my checking account or via Paypal My Cash Reload cards.

2) I can see from the wiki that the 30-day load limits are $4000, is the daily load limit still $500?

3) Any suggestions from where I can buy these? I'm in the DC area. I still have some luck buying prepaid cards from Safeway.

Thanks so much for your help. If you're feeling extra generous, we're also trying to plan our honeymoon and I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. I've started a thread here.

1) This is not true. Read more pages in this thread.
2) Yes

I load my paypal account pretty heavily with mycash cards and would like to push 2x $250 direct deposits to my serve account over the next few days to get the $50 bonus (ends 6/30).

Is this a problem? ie is it risky moving some of the funds that were loaded via mycash into a checking account (serve)? or am I probably okay since the funds have been in paypal for a while, I have transactions in between, and its not draining the whole tank.

I wouldn't risk my relationship with PP for a mere $500 deposit. Use other channel for your bonus.

Go for it. Shouldn't be a problem just as long as you didn't just load the PP cash card and immediately drain it.

I've read reports of people who load and drain 2 months out, and still even get their accounts shut down. I think the key is to throw in purchases here and there. I use the PP business debit MC for the occasional real purchase (Redbox) and also BB transfers, and am able to withdraw occasionally without problems. It also helps that I have occasional real deposits like from BigCrumbs.

It should be a 1 time thing and I agree it shouldnt be done on a monthly basis. The key is not to load and drain immediately contrary to popular belief here. That is when questions are raised and accounts blocked. But I do mix in the occasional small purchases every month to throw in additional activity.

Source: I personally did the 2x$250 DD to meet the $50 Serve bonus.

Thanks. I assume you are loading almost exclusively with mycash? I do have many purchases in between transactions.

Yes loading pretty much MyCash. But like I said I try to mix in a few transactions here and there and I NEVER load and unload at the same time. If anything I try to avoid the process of unloading until the next day OR if I absolutely need to then at least wait until later on in the day (load in the morning and start unloading late at night). A lot of folks load and unload right away but I just find that too suspicious especially if its the same amount. Slow and steady wins the race....as they say.

Will PP shut down accounts for loading Serve online via the PP Business MC?

Not that I have read. Been doing it with BB and Serve.

No problem so far for me with BB (3 accounts). But nothing is absolute with PP.

Not worth the risk for me. Besides, I have bills to pay. ;)

Has anyone logged into their PP while traveling out of the country? I just do not want to set off security flags.

BAD IDEA! Use a VPN and then login

The loading PP with my Business Debit card has me so spooked. I need and use my PP account a lot. I want to try but don't like the idea of getting shut down, my PP is used to recieve my Portal cash back.
