When I call the number on the PayPal MyCash cards (Incomm), they ask me for the PINs. I explain to them why I do not want to give out the PINs, and they tell me they can't help me without the PINs. Really? It doesn't seem like a good idea to give out the keys to the money.

I'll try talking to the manager at the Rite Aid tomorrow. If the manager can't help, I'll need to dispute the charge with AMEX. I hate to do it, but I can't see any other way to get this fixed.

With all due respect, how could they possibly help you without having the PINs? You are really going to blow up your entire Amex and RA relationship over this because you don't want to give PIN numbers to the people who are issuing the product in the first place?

So you don't want the company that issues these cards to help you? They could fix the issue if you gave them info they need. Much better than permanently destroying the opportunity to MS again at that store. Store manager won't be as helpful since it's an Incomm issue.

If you are calling PP themselves you have to give them the PINs to confirm that you have the cards in your possession. They can cross reference up the barcode and PIN and can confirm that they are a match. Whenever there is a dispute like this, the burden is on you to provide proof without a doubt that you legally obtained these cards. Without giving proof to PP themselves who issued the PP Cash cards they can't help you.

I agree with the poster above, I don't think it is worth burning your Amex and RA relationship over this. PP should be able to take care of you as long as you upload your receipt to PP confirming the amounts on each PP cash card and PP can confirm on their end that the PP cash cards were never used to load onto another account. If PP sees that the PP cards were not used in any other account, it gives you even more proof for your case that the PP Cash cards were not activated correctly. Its just that simple.

Most of the time you'll have no problem. I've just seen more than enough stories of people having one not activate that it's not worth it for me to have to deal with PP/Incomm if it happens to me. I've got 5 WGs within 15 minutes of me so I just buy one at each store if I need a lot at once.

Thanks, Ericdabbs. I'll call PP and see if they can fix the problem. Just doesn't feel good giving away the PINs, even to a PayPal employee. Any unscrupulous person who sees those PINs could take access to the money.

I had an issue recently with a MyCash card that didn't have a pin number on the back when scratched off due to a manufacturing error as eventually they were able to give me my pin and the actual office manager at Incomm said they were aware of how bad their customer service is and to contact her directly next time I have an issue with any of her products.

In my case I called the number and purposely entered in wrong pins as I did not have one. That was the only way to get a live rep on the line. No other options gave me the ability to get a live rep on the line. I had to explain the situation to a clueless rep who transferred me to a supervisor who then had me fax over receipts and the back/front of the mycash card. This was the easy part. The hard part was getting Incomm to acknowledge they received the info. Had I not filed a BBB claim with them I would have never been contacted by their office manager who was wonderful and immediately gave me the missing pin number and as mentioned above, said they were aware of how bad their customer service is. The whole situation lasted 2 and a half weeks and she said their reps should have resolved it in 3 business days.

the monthly load limit didn't seem to have reset for me properly in July.
I loaded 4k from 6/1-6/8, now it's well over 30 days. When I tried to load, paypal said I have reached my monthly limit this month and should come back on 8/1...Anyone have the same problem? Is there any way to get it the reset other than just waiting? I got about 2k of mycash i need to liquidate.

I had the exact same problem. PayPal customer support couldn't help and referred me to the MyCash number where I couldn't find a way to get a live person on the phone. I sent PayPal an email via their form and am waiting for a reply.

I'm having the same "monthly load limit" problem. In fact, in one of my accounts, after I made a load, the load did not show up in my PP acount, so I went back to PP mycash to reload the card. When I logged in, it displayed a -496.25 remaining monthly load limit.

I *almost* had this happen to me last night. Was buying two cards, and the cashier was kind of careless about which one she was scanning... so I checked the activation receipt with the first card she handed me - turns out she handed me the wrong (unactivated) card, and was about to scan the activated card a second time. I was able to stop the transaction before that happened... and then my card was declined for a fraud alert anyways.

Man, yesterday was a bad MS day for me...

Here's the secret to getting a live PayPal MyCash representative.
Call 1-855-721-5035 and press 1 to all the voice prompts until it asks you for your PIN to check. Press 0# then press 0# then press 0# and it will tranfer you to a representative.

The rep you get says she can only check PIN statuses and can't see anything in your PayPal account or do anything to determine why a PIN can't be loaded if it has funds.

To request a refund of your PIN card you have to go to https://www.paypal-cash.com/mycashrefund.html which is different from the http://www.paypal-cash.com/MyCashRefund address that the phone rep gave that does not work.

Yesterday the site said I had no available monthly quota when I should have (and the main PayPal helpline agreed and referred me to the MyCash line).

Today it says my full quota is available but won't load anything. It accepts my PIN and reads the amount on my PIN card, but when I hit Load it Up the screen goes blank except for the header and a blue button that says "Try Again" which takes me back to the main MyCash screen to start over.

I'm frustrated but am wondering if this will fix itself on its own if I wait another day.

+1 for me, my limit hasn't reset for the last 2 days. (I was able to load on 6/30 and 7/1.)
