I have the Business Debit card. I believe I have a premier account. I can add credit cards to my account but I have to go into the options to make that my primary back up funding, otherwise it uses my Smart Connect as the back up.
The menu for doing that is hard to find, I can't even remember exactly how I got to it. I had to take my Smart Connect off as my back up funding method and then it allowed me to choose the added gift card as the default back up. |
You cannot make a credit card the backup payment on the Business Debit Card. Read the FAQs on PayPal's website. It actually says it on the application page too...

I was told that I am not allowed load Serve with my PP business MC card because it is a "prepaid" card. Strange, I was allowed to use it to load my BB when I still had it.

Sending money to premier account
I am trying to send money from my personal account to my premier account and all I get is an error message. I called up to Paypal and they were not able to fix the issue. Just told me to wait 24 hours and try again. I also tried sending money to my wife's account and wasn't able to do that either. Has anyone else tried this? I have over 2k in the account and it is not all Paypal Mycash loads. I tried multiple amounts from $50-$500 with no luck. Thanks!

New to MS and picked up my first PPMC today (after checking 5 different stores). Any reason to keep the card and receipt around after loading to my account. I confirmed the amount is there via PayPal and the mobile app. Is it safe to discard or should I wait until I unload the funds?

Apparently years ago I had already requested a PP Biz MC. Don't remember it at all. Looks like they sent me one and then sent a replacement card when that one expired. I guess I must have thought the stuff was junk mail and shredded it. Just reported the current one lost and they're sending me another.

Paying for a Wedding with Paypal
Hi everyone,
I've spent the last hour skimming this thread and was hoping to get confirmation on a couple of things. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise. I've had a Paypal account for 10+ years that's been used occasionally. Early on I used it to pay for things from eBay. Nowadays I mainly use it to pay friends (or to be paid) for trips we take. My wife-to-be and I are getting married in Mexico at a place that suggests payment via Paypal. We've done our due diligence and are completely convinced it's legitimate (we've seen other people mention it online, it's an individual that owns two huge houses that rents them out). I could pay for this from my checking account, but I'd love to find a way to maximize points earned. Now to my questions: 1) I know Paypal My Cash Reload cards can't be bought from CVS anymore, but I'm hoping to find them at grocery stores or gas stations. I know I can load my Paypal account and send money to people with them, but has anyone tried sending $10K+ before using just Paypal My Cash Reload cards? Any potential problems (besides the load limits, which we'll get to in the next question)? Again, this isn't manufactured spend; the money is not going back to me in any way. I will either have to transfer this via Paypal from my checking account or via Paypal My Cash Reload cards. 2) I can see from the wiki that the 30-day load limits are $4000, is the daily load limit still $500? 3) Any suggestions from where I can buy these? I'm in the DC area. I still have some luck buying prepaid cards from Safeway. Thanks so much for your help. If you're feeling extra generous, we're also trying to plan our honeymoon and I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. I've started a thread here. |

This may be the rare case where you may want to consider calling in beforehand to let them know of the purchase because: 1. You have a very long history with paypal. 2. You have never done MS on the account. 3. This sounds like a totally legitimate purchase - no MS. IMO you can be transparent with them and don't need to fly under the radar. Yet, I'm sure they will want a slice of the 10k payment. Either charging the business or you about 2%. If the vendor accepts paypal, they should get hit with the fee. |
