I have a different PP question. I have an old account opened in 2006 that I haven't used for several years. It also has an email address I no longer have access to. I logged in and tried to change email addy and they wanted me to verify complete bank account number--that account is no longer open.

No SS# on the account. Should I mess around trying to get them to update this account--because it's seasoned or should I just try to open a new one? I'd like to run $2-$5K through fairly quickly this month or is that naïve?

PP

glad someone brought this up! It must be a 7/11 system stop on the 7/11 end. I had the same experience with Disc and freedom cards. Last week bought 1 PP MY Cash with the Chase card, then tried to buy a 2nd PP card with the discover card. Got same messages. It looks like it's approved on the terminal, and then 1 second later, it reverses and adds a "-" to the 503.95. So you walk out with just one card. But if you go back the next day your fine or another 7/11 the same day. I called Chase/Disc and both told me that they approved the transactions. They stated it's the 7/11 system. Did not state I was buying PP cards. They did not ask what I was buying, but was going to say "auto repair"

Not for my wife. Its irritating. I even filled in any unanswered questions as mentioned above and still can't load. For some reason my account is still working fine. There is no rhythm to this.

I'm new to using PP for MS.

My account has been open since 10/2002. It's been used off and on for various purposes. Never more than a few hundred at a time (until the near future, anyhow).

I'm about to have $2,500 in my account. Is it OK to make a single charge for this amount at Wal-Mart? Or is this likely to get my account shut down?

Knowing PP's reputation I am inclined to think it's risky. I want to get others' input, though.

I wouldn't. If you have enough money to charge (or pay your bill) from two sources, then it's about maximizing your churn. In that case the pleasure derived from highly efficient churns may outweigh the risk of closure.

I can say that I was successful in buying and loading a 500 dollar PP Cash card at -4

Have they fixed the resetting issue for anyone yet?

Doesn't seem like it yet.

I am still getting the message, even though I uploaded only $2k within last 30 days.

I still have the problem. Haven't loaded anything in the last 30 days. Still at 0.00 available to load.

This has happened before to my account. It just magically comes back sometimes. I only buy them as it allows me to load.

I've been loosely following this thread and I'm still wondering why people are still making noise about loading then ACH out and getting shut down(?)

If you don't have a 2nd PP acc, couldn't you just request a debit card and withdraw the max through an ATM with no fee or request cashback at the register? Then by the time your statement comes around, you would have the cash to pay your bill at a branch. No?

The solution is so simple, yet people keep missing it

Load, liquidate via $1,000 MOs at WM, rinse and repeat...

I had no problem loading upto my PP account today. I didn't use up my monthly limit last month, just as a data point.

Same issue for me. I keep a rolling count and it should have reset on the 3rd but still hasn't (same across 4 accounts). Error I get when I actually try says "You've hit your monthly max of $4k. Try again 1st August 2014". I've done no loads at all in July.
