I just received this plastic in the mail. This thread has been very helpful. I will send payments to my gf and use the card to pay bills and other random things.

If anyone has found a place to get good rewards for buying MP, please PM me. The grocer near me doesn't allow cc purchases. I've had luck at Charlie victor sierra, but I only have a 2% card for purchases there.

pp is a difficult company, be careful.

Thanks. I will. I will probably just use it for spend. I won't withdraw too much money from it, if any at all.

Was the money withdrawn via a transfer to a linked bank account?

All things PAYPAL [Master Thread]

Has anybody used PayPal debit card to pay federal taxes? I owe over $3K which is about almost 90% of my entire PayPal account. I have some real spending and a lot of MP loads on this account I have some eBay purchases as well. I don't want to get shut down.

I had every intention of using it to pay my county property taxes but the site says visa debit only.

Tried 2x on 2 different payment services - failed on both. Oddly, on one site, the fee was charged to my PP card, but not the taxes, so the sale worked from the processor side, but not PP.

Has anyone had/sees any problem with just buying My Cash Cards and then sending the money from your Pay Pal account to someone else? No debit card or withdraw to your own bank account. Just email the balance to a significant other or landlord.

I do it all the time, loading my wife's account and then sending the money to myself so that i can buy money orders with my pp debit card

I could probably do that, but I like to take the money orders to chase and pay off the cc's, and I figure (maybe incorrectly) that I will have less scrutiny from Paypal this way. Plus, I load my account with the mycash cards also, so I use that money as well when I am at Walmart buying the m/o's

I do this exact thing and have not had a problem yet (knock on wood). Load my PP account... transfer to my wife (in multiple increments) and then withdraw to our bank account. Rinse and repeat monthly as needed.

Has anyone had any luck buying the PP mycash at dollar general, or are they cash only like with VR?

PP does not pre-authorize your charges? If it's real spending, I don't see why you shouldn't call PP to find out what they are willing to do. I wish I can find that out for myself, but I don't use PP debit for big payments usually. I used it for a car insurance a couple month back for < $400. No problem (the charge went straight thru, no interaction with PP) although that was signature, not PIN.
