You only get cb for signature transactions, not PIN transactions.

Any reason you're not swiping it as a credit card to take advantage of the 1% cash back?

PayPal Mycash card at OD is cash only right?

rdover1 Jan 8, 2014 4:53 pm

You can only buy MO or load BB with debit - thus useless for the 1% back with this card.

However loads to Visa Buxx are treated as credit, so you can use the card there , and then unload BUXX as cash or MO.

Yes, all variable load cards at OD are cash only.

When using PayPal Debit Mastercard and having a CC as a back up funding source does anyone know which CC's will count this as a cash advance?

There is only one credit card you can use as a backup funding source.

Lots of cards work with Buxx, so why waste it on 1% CB?

As somebody said, you can only link the PP Credit card as the backup to the PP Bus Debit MC. But, it does not count as CA on that card.

Because this way you pay-off the PPCash fee and the Buxx Fee. Bring your actual out of pocket as close to zero or negative as possible.

$1k load is $10 cash back. 2x PPcash is $7.90. Buxx load is 2x2.
Net $1.9 cost for 1k points or whatever multiple you get on PPcash, instead of $7.90.

It's all fungible. For charging, get the most bang for your buck, which is better than 1%.

Same thing happened to ma. I called PayPay and they said it was showing as a "cash equivalent" and that is why it was rejected. He said all tax payments that were processed as debit would be rejected. Gave up based on this.

Each to their own. If you have enough basic points in most accounts the game switches to lowest cost.

Anyone using the Business Debit card for regular purchases without moving the money loaded into their Paypal account to their checking account or BB account? Any occurrences of Paypal review/shutdown with this approach?

Bump for this question as well.
