Probably asking in the wrong forum, but does anyone know if Capital One charges a cash advance for AP?

Unfortunately no

If I have multiple accounts both for myself and my wife do they all need to have separate bank accounts attached to them or can they all dump back to the same account?

Odd thing is the transaction doesn't show up in my activity at all (not pending, simply nothing). I thought maybe I didn't hit send or confirm at the end but when I tried to send the funds again, it said I had sent too much for this month already (meaning it must have gone through).

Hope it's just a fluke.

I had this problem last night - it seems to have been some sort of internal error (I was having problems with login and it kept redirecting back on itself). Once I was finally logged in, I tried to do my usual 1k transfer but after I hit confirm, it went back a screen. I figured it was erring out so I tried again this morning (but now it is giving me the err that I had sent too much for this month).

I guess I just have to give up a month of AP on that account. :( (Or do you think it is worth while to contact Amazon support? I was thinking that I'd rather not have them take a look at my transaction history. :P)

I would like to dip my toes into the world of MS and figure AP is the easiest way to start.

I've read some of the pages here but haven't found the answer.

Will creating 2 AP in my name and SSN (different bank accounts and credit cards) draw attention and get my accounts shut down? I would rather not get my wife involved.

Meh - not the easiest way to start. What airline miles are you trying to acquire?

It's safer to have separate bank accounts attached to them.

Would be great if there's wiki on top...

Thousands of same questions being asked again & again & again & again...

Because people don't read. You need to earn miles by MS, you don't get handed them, even though bloggers wish you were.

I will say the benefit is that if you read the same Q & A 15 times and its the same, you know it's probably true, versus a misdirect. Im pretty sure it's the only benefit.

A wiki would have been useful for FAQs. It's not exactly efficient to wade though the ever-growing (190+) pages of this thread hoping to find a particular morsel of information.

I'm trying to get some more US Air points on the side. Already got the Barclays US Air card x 2.

I have no desire to go hard core though. Just some MS-lite :)

I've been following the AP threads for months but I had a question.

Is it ok if you use a loop with 4 family members like:

A->B $1k
B->C $1k
C->D $1k
D->A $1k

I close the loop, no problem.
