Mine have been straight $1K A-B-A since May, 2011... so there goes that theory. Perhaps it's the bank accounts. I seem to recall someone talking about a shutdown with back and forths between a joint account.

In any event, I haven't heard of any shutdowns in ages...which leads me to believe all this concern is unwarranted.

Anyone had this issue - I sent $1000 from B -> A today, and after the confirm screen, I got taken to that new Amazon Payments banner advertising their new payment platform. I originally thought it was a browser glitch and tried to send the payment again, since it wasn't showing up in activity, and A didn't receive an email. But when I went to send it through, it tells me that I've already exceeded the amount this month for credit card payments. Sent an email but it seemed weird enough to ask.

Not phoney, just managed by you. They may also want to open managed-by-you bank accounts (Bluebird would work) to deposit the incoming AP funds into.

Do all the AP accounts have to be linked to a bank account?
Waiting for both my accounts to verify since it's not letting me activate it. The SO is hesitant to link the bank account. Does hers have to have one linked? Or is she able to take the amount in the account and gift that?

A > C > B > Bank
A&B me, C is her.

You can transfer up to 1k if you link a bank, if not your limit is .5k.

Is a & b the same name and address. . . .? Just different email and bank account?

AP is really pissing me off. SO's AP account needs more "additional information". After adding bank account, they sent an email saying a CC needed to be added. Yet it's still "not verified", sent an email. They want a copy of a ID. Seriously? You ask for her information while signing up, once again after signing up, and when adding bank & CC.

How frustrating.
Meanwhile, I opened two accounts. No issues.

I believe I read in the thread that the answer is no. Sorry.
Discover works, however.

You can ACH AP into BB? Didn't know that was allowed.

I've been ACH-ing AP into GB, but if BB works well, I prefer BB's UI. GB's UI in BP is so clunky!

I haven't actually done ACH with AP into BB, but I have done Paypal > BB via ACH. You should be able to put the routing and account number from the direct deposit instructions on BB into AP and verify the test deposits.

If I just transfer money to my brother and then he writes me a check in a few weeks, will there be any problems?

No. He can write the check as early as soon as the AP hits his bank account.
