The arrival service is included by Aman, and makes selecting Aman a very good choice, although I understand some arrival services are available for the general public as well. Arrival service in Bali is a must in my opinion.

The arrival service representative assisted me in collecting my luggage, and then passed me along to a white clad Amandari employee who greeted me and assisted me in the rest of the way to the waiting Amandari vehicle. The vehicle was not a luxury vehicle, but was a comfortable and clean mini van, and I was offered a cold cloth, a cold bottle of water, and some peanut snacks for the hour or so drive to Amandari, which is located in Ubud, to the north of the airport. The extremely pleasant and efficient arrival made me feel welcome and extraordinarily well taken care of, and the pleasant drive with a very helpful driver who explained many things about Bali along the way, was an extraordinary way to arrive. It was an appropriate introduction to Aman Resorts.

The convertible loan notes were to be issued as part of a complex fund raising exercise which involved creditors extending varying loan amounts to Silverlink in exchange for convertible loan notes which contained extensive rights to control the affairs of Silverlink.

The library shot is just the top floor. There is another floor below where the book shelves are.

Well , it depends on what you intend to do!
We were there in early May - many moons ago .. ( About when Monty just arrived ) No homes then .
It snowed the first night . Early next morning, I thought I was jet lagging so bad as I saw only white of what I could see out of our picture window/ balcony? - corner suite - ..
However, we still managed Yellowstone for a day.
Just driving around with an experienced guide really adds to the the adventure exploring the valley , etc.
Perhaps 5 days / a week?
Waiting to return but there's Amangiri to check out too - perhaps combine both , not forgetting the other newer Amans .

article says SIH owns 85% of credicom NV owns 100% of credicom asia owns % aman

http://www.leagle.com/xmlresult.aspx...urr&SizeDisp=7
Silverlink's current liabilities exceeded its current assets on December 31, 1995 and 1996
says credicom asia owns 91.3% argent owns 60.97% silverlink
"C&C" = colony, bought out for $118MM (this article says bought in for $120MM)
then sell silverlink share to lee hing for $102MM >
http://www.asiawind.com/pub/hksr/news/001011/09-15
credicom asia sells lee hing 91% of argent which owns 62% of silverlink
$102,055,770 out of which US$60,000,000 was financed by bank borrowing and the balance of US$42,055,770 was funded by internal resources
thats what lee hing paid
they sold to DLF for $105.45MM
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/19807863-post227.html
DLF paid $246MM for (89.92% and $133MM in convertible loan notes)
then +4.86% to 94.78% (involves $33.8MM paid and maybe notes) actually lines up with (beginning of) this article
then +5.22% to 100% (details?) (ill speculate this is the zecha owned 5.3% via argent)
then sold (without new delhi)

---

but none of this matters >
- we dont know if silverlink owns 100% of aman
- regardless of who bought from DLF - who holds debt, convertible loan notes, etc (led to colony fiasco)
http://www.google.com/search?q=silve...vertible+notes

i will still look at upcoming DLF financials, next release is thursday

---

im out of my depth here, but if company is not profitable, then people could want to give up equity and get debt, instead of the other way around? seems like that may have been what the settlement was about, and separately lee hing talked about holding debt and earning interest etc. maybe high settlement to buyout without giving desired debt/note.

http://blog.photos2view.com/2006/07/...o-research.htm
17 March 1993

But Mr. Zecha, who is chairman and a major shareholder of Amanresorts' parent company, Silverlink Holdings Ltd., wondered if the resorts would thrive as part of a large hotel group. So he turned to longtime friend Clement Vaturi, an Italian hotel investor based in Paris. Mr. Vaturi's NV Credit Commercial International SA of Antwerp, Belgium, made a competing bid for a stake in Amanresorts. Last December, Mandarin Oriental bowed out.

Earlier this week, Credicom, as Mr. Vaturi's company is known, finalized the deal with Silverlink, a British Virgin Island-registered, Hong Kong-based company. The result is $65 million in fresh equity for Silverlink, raising total shareholder equity to around $100 million. Another large Silverlink shareholder and creditor, Hong Kong-based Arral & Partners (Asia) Ltd., and two investment trusts it manages, approved the recapitalization, according to Louis Bowen, Arral's managing director.

Mr. Zecha and Credicom have pooled their Silverlink shares into a new company, Argent Holdings Ltd., which now controls about 57% of Silverlink. Mr. Zecha said he remains chairman and chief executive of Silverlink and Amanresorts. Mr. Vaturi said he becomes president of Argent Holdings and of newly formed Credicom Asia Ltd.

Mr. Zecha said the next property, a 22-room tented luxury camp, will open in June on Moyo Island east of Bali in Indonesia. It will be called Amanwano. And in October, Amanpulo, a 40-room resort, will open on the Philippine island of Pamalican. The company also is negotiating to buy Milton Park, a country hotel near Sydney, and Mr. Zecha said he plans to build Amanresorts in Angkor Wat, Cambodia; Pagan, Burma; Sukothai, Thailand; and other ancient cultural sites in Southeast Asia. The Cambodian project already is under way, he said.

I remember, Kage, when Clement Vaturi went bust. He also owned le Richemond in Geneva, at one point, and had to sell that. He also was part investor in L'Ermitage in Beverly Hills when it reopened after its major renovation. If you look at the room design, you can see the influence of Aman.

Anil Thadani is still heavily involved in Aman on the investment side, from what I hear.

my recently crunched numbers indicated that potential

http://dlf.in/dlf/wcm/connect/119747...b-593e47040309

DLF Global Hospitality Ltd. “DGHL”, 100 percent step-down subsidiary of DLF Ltd., and M/s. Mahaman Assets Limited has entered into Share Purchase Agreement on December 12, 2012 to sell DGHL’s 100% shareholding in Silverlink at an enterprise value of approximately USD 300 Mn. This is considered as an Initial Disclosure event for the discontinued operations. As the transaction is slated for final closure by end of February 2013 and is subject to usual closing conditions, no effect of the same has been taken in these consolidated financial results. Pursuant to the terms of the Share Purchase Agreement, management foresees an estimated loss of ` 65 crores, which has been recorded as an impairment of goodwill created on Silverlink consolidation.
[65 crores] = [$12MM]

going to numbers in previous post >
[$312MM] - $280MM = [$32MM] for final 5.22% (zecha's?) assuming retention of aman new delhi is not factored in

im thinking they might refer to aman new delhi as "Lodhi Property Company Limited (Lodhi)"
