I was assuming everyone was. Maybe limited to Europeans, or those who are relatively close? Anyone else been invited?

didnt puri low season end oct 15? aman web reservations shows higher season

are agents / guests here noticing a difference in upgrades at aman in 2014/2015 ?

Oops my bad - you're right. Got my months all muddled up now (I'm thinking it's still October).

Re: upgrades - had a client at Amanusa recently, got the same as per previous response. Booked the garden suite, got upgraded to pool.

sounds like an 'old school' aman hire, 3 months after sale
http://blog.lesroches.edu/alumni/want-manager/
Running into a quaint little stall, I realized the name it held was one of the most distinguished brands in the luxury hotel business. Surprised at the intimate size of the tent, I ended up sharing a conversation with the lady and gentleman sitting calmly in the stall for around 45 minutes, without even the intention of hunting for a job. About a month or so later, I find myself back here in the Caribbean, as an Assistant Guest Relations Manager for Amanyara. One of the most exclusive hotels in the world! It is truly surprising what life has in store for you, if you look in the right places with the right attitude, and actually make an effort...At first it was a serious challenge to work 11 hours a day, or 12 days in a row. After almost 6 months, the hours fly. I actually want to stay longer. I feel like there is always so much more to be done. It’s exciting in a way, and also highly motivating when guests and your colleagues also appreciate hard work.

ah, good news from individual properties!

reminder - noi low season ends this month, has FHR/etc 4th nt free
other aman 4th nt free end in dec, except bali/sara/taka in jan
bali is also low season, except holiday

low seasons return next year, although kora wont be as low

Many months ago when Amanemu was announced, I emailed aman about rates, which of course they didn't have yet.

Completely forgot about it, but just got this email.

Apologies for formatting (on mobile), but thought some might find this useful/interesting.

Greetings!

Thank you so much for waiting until now.
We are pleased to inform you Amanemu will start taking reservations from 01 March 2016!
Please find below room categories and rates for your perusal.

We will take booking request on waitlist basis, and will revert back to you once room availability is confirmed.
Please let us know your traveling details such as full name of guests traveling, preferred traveling date and room category.

Kindly note we are not open for reservations on 27, 28, 29 March 2016.
Further, please be advised we are not taking any reservations from 09th to 31st May 2016. This is required by the government due to G7 Summit held in Shima.

Thanks for posting. It's interesting that they're doing a weekend rate, like Aman Tokyo. I'm not familiar with Aman doing this anywhere outside of Japan. The beginning of a new pricing structure, or something that is familiar in Japan? In London it's often the opposite, as most of the top-end hotels are cheaper at the weekend as in the week they are full from business travellers.

tokyo is semi dynamic rates

maybe with nemu theyre trying something like old FS ratecards
nemu was said to have 24 suites and 4 2BR villas
interesting 2BR are bookable as 1BR all dates (presumably will change)
interesting villa rates dont fluctuate, only 1BRs go up in highest peak
rates are only for 2 months, mar and apr, so there are other seasons
another big thanks LM225, you were first to post amanera rates too

Weekends tend to be full occupancy and/or cost a pretty penny in most luxury properties in Japan. Saturdays especially sees couples, local staycation guests, families then throw in the tourists and business travellers. I just hope this GM is smart enough to provide a crib than cushion at Aman Tokyo.

Emu is unlikely to get business travellers but will get affluent Japanese from most surrounding prefectures. March, April and Fall will probably see highest prices along with major Japanese holidays.

Cheapest Jet type
BKK CXR 22600
CXR-LPQ 29400
LPQ-REP 23000
REP-MNL 41000
MNL-HND 68600

Total= 127000

G200 (as advertized)
BKK-CXR 31300
CXR-LPQ 36600
LPQ-REP 28200
REP-MNL 49000
MNL-HND 92300

Total= 237400

Presumably one could do a bit better on pricing by working directly with a charter coupon... But for arguments sake it's $237,400/8 passengers for the G200=29,675 per person... that leaves $58888-29675= $29213 for everything else....

this kind of thing is more for marketing, but it would really be nice if there were trips combining nearby properties (or flying HKG > pulo) with inexpensive planes, for the benefit of general aviation airports/terminals

edit - if there is ever another forum meetup at an aman near other amans, perhaps some could split inexpensive charter between amans

Well , FDW et al , not so disastrous . What do you think ?
FYI - The cost of the Aman Private Jet expedition from China , 5 – 11 March is $35 , 888 per person .
As anyone on this thread flown by private jet in China ?
I think I ' d rather do the China Amans separately . Pity my Fayun hopes for next week are dashed .

Stay Nemu in March instead ?

I'm only worth $38,887 dead, so I guess I win.

We do want to bring occupancy levels up, but we don’t want to push it too far. Dropping rates to increase occupancy will never be a policy, but we want to attract more guests during low season through innovative marketing. But even at full occupancy our guests will never feel crowded. Aman is designed so that rooms are never overlooked, but if you want to connect with others, you can.

One of the marketing approaches is to invite our core clientele to intimate “Aman Junkie Dinners” in key cities, and ask them to bring their friends. We choose an interesting topic for example, Bhutanese monks talking about living in the mountains and their day-to-day monastic lives. So hopefully people are convinced to come and visit us in Aman. We want to do this more often and in more cities.

We have around 150 villas
