Envious! Hope you enjoy. Our favorite Aman stay of all time, perhaps tied with Amansara and Singita Boulders as our favorites of any hotel anywhere.

High praise indeed. I'm quite excited to put the bad taste of Aman TYO out of my mouth! ^

Erh , haven't been invited to Nemu ' s opening . Will decide if / when invitation comes & if our other Amanjunkies will be there or just newbies .
Pray it will be living up to its name - nemu meaning ‘ joy ’ in Japanese

We will be at Jiwo around Easter next year so I am eager to hear how it was. Will be our 2nd Jiwo visit. Last time was 12 years ago.

The iPhone weather forecast shows rain galore ALL week. I'm hoping to luck out for our trip there! Will definitely chime in.

Amanpulo - One Bedroom Villa

I found some footage on my iPhone from my stay at Amanpulo last year and edited it into one video.

I was staying in a One Bedroom Villa (actually a two bedroom villa with one of the bedrooms blocked off). Originally, I booked a beach casita through AMEX Platinum Travel Services (highest category that can be booked in Sabre) and paid the price differential to upgrade to the villa (the resort does not upgrade further from a beach casita).

If I remember correctly, this may have been Villa #23.

Note: This video includes the flight to/from Amanpulo as well.

Thanks for warming me up inside giving some great memories. We stayed in the same villa when we were there.

My experience is that weather forecast during rainy season shows rain all the time no matter what. In reality there are a couple of strong showers (go in for a massage, take a nap, read or whatever) and then the sun comes out again very soon and you can enjoy even more. Also even when it rains, the temperatures are so nice that it is nothing like the rain at home. I hope and believe you will have a great time!
