I am also connecting in FRA for a flight next month.
My first flight is LH1003 from Amsterdam which is scheduled to arrive at 9:05am.
My connecting flight is LH438 to Dallas which is scheduled to depart at 10:10am, leaving me with a 1h05m connection time.
From the information I got the LH1003 flight will either arrive at an A-gate apron position or directly at an A-gate. LH438 usually leaves from a Z gate.
Would 1h05m be enough to make this connection easily (and for my checked luggage to make it as well)?

We left the plane, took a apron bus to the terminal, went through passport control (the one near gate A13, which had only a short 4-7 person line) and then through that little shopping mall to finally reach the departure gate Z15 around 9:25.

1. Going to the FCT will probably be quicker.
2. The early morning flight (LH949) often arrives at AEUW (bus arrival at a secure gate in A/Z) which is convenient for A or Z gates. But if you want to go to the FCT/FCL it doesn’t make much difference. You may or may not be picked up by a limo to be taken to the terminal. If you do ask to be dropped at an A bus gate. In order to go to the FCL B you will have to clear transfer security (or walk through the tunnel and go through passport control twice). The FCL A is not recommended as it is in Schengen.

Quick walk to the FCT where I had time for breakfast, shower and a quick glass of bubbly. Great ride to the plane - 3 of us in the Mercedes, and the driver asked if we wanted to go the "long way around" - to which we all agreed.
Really wonderful first experience at FRA and will certainly be routing more flights through there for this experience!

FRA sports
After today's mini sport event sponsored by LH's 35 minutes taxiing to a gate that was still occupied i suggest to create a sub-section for fra connection thread called FRA sports. We could record all the glorious athletic performances.
Let me start with myself:
Discipline: C->A gates biathlon (running, train riding)
Difficulty: Medium (A388, upper deck, rear C cabin)
Start: C16
Finish: A25
Doors opened: 7 minutes before boarding time, 27 minutes before takeoff
Finish time: 20 minutes
Outcome: Made it
Bonus points for collecting luggage at final destination: No

It just proves a fit human can do better than checked luggage in FRA.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. But I was supposed to fly MAN-FRA-SFO-HNL on thursday, it was star alliance booked by Omega Travel. Could anyone help?
I wasn't able to make the flight due to Omega rescheduling the originating flight from 8.30am to 6.10am. I tried but I'd had to stay at work late and couldn't make it.
I asked Omega what my options were and they only said I was eligible for a tax refund.
So I obliged, gutted I was to miss this holiday to Hawaii. However, looking online through the T+C's of united (united headed the ticket) and I saw that in case of an advanced no-show they offer a rebooking for a fee.
I found out two interesting things here:
- Omega said their most restrictive fares did not allow rebooking, but speaking to United they said a travel agent will say that because it's more work for them. After pushing this with Omega they said - yes they would have allowed rebooking if I hadn't tax refunded it.
- Omega pushed me to initiate the tax refund first, presumably to benefit theirselves as they take a cut of the reimbursement. Is there anyone I can complain to about them failing to offer me a rebooking?
I got my hands burned by this one, I booked the ticket for almost a 5th of what it is showing online right now. I wonder if I can complain about Omega to any regulatory body and I am probably not going to get the chance to go again.

Yes, you can. Your ticket originated out of the EU therefore you are protected by EC261/2004 (not sure if the precise number is correct... but you can find it).
By the look of it, as you describe the situation, your rights as a passenger might have been breached. There would have to be more details known about the situation, but at the cursory glance it seems at at the minimum, you were not properly informed of your rights.

I think that ruling only protects people who have he their flight delayed unfortunately? I asked United if I could go after the travel company for compensation and because United are based in the US - the call handler told me to report it to my local congressman, not something we'd do in the UK.
I want my money back or a reduced fare to HNL... will I be able to get either?

It sounds very generous of United to let you rebook for a fee in case of an advanced no-show, though from reading your post it looks like you missed the flight you had planned to travel on. I’m not sure if it counts as an advanced no-show.
It’s unfortunate you didn’t read United’s T&Cs before contacting Omega. I’m sorry you missed your holiday but most of us accept that heavily discounted fares come with severe penalties. Since you are based in the UK the only thing I can suggest is to go to the small claims court if you think you have a case. Good luck!

I understand that SQ may or may not check baggage all the way to Venice.
If the baggage is not check through, what is the correct way to navigate the maze at FRA to make my flight to Venice?
I am assuming that I will need t retrieve the luggage and check in again with LH
Are the SQ and LH gates close to each other?
As a last resort, should I consider paying extra for FRA airport comfort services to help?

Can anyone provide some insight regarding a transfer from C to D (non-Schengen to non-Schengen)? Will I have to pass any kind of passport or security check, or can I stay completely airside?

Itinerary: SEA->FRA->PRG on 11/12. Incoming on LH491 (08:50) and connecting to LH1394 (10:10), so a 1h20m layover. Since we are connecting to a Schengen country, anything special we need to know re: passport control and/or security? Just trying to get this figured out as much in advance as possible to avoid tons of stress the day of.

I am assuming that I will need t retrieve the luggage and check in again with LH
Are the SQ and LH gates close to each other?
As a last resort, should I consider paying extra for FRA airport comfort services to help?
Go through passport control into Schengen, follow the signs for A/Exit, if no need to retrieve the luggage turn back through security and walk through the tunnel to A. Alternatively after passport control follow the signs for Exit, (go down one level to retrieve the luggage, go up one level to check the luggage if necessary) and go through security into A.

Itinerary: SEA->FRA->PRG on 11/12. Incoming on LH491 (08:50) and connecting to LH1394 (10:10), so a 1h20m layover. Since we are connecting to a Schengen country, anything special we need to know re: passport control and/or security? Just trying to get this figured out as much in advance as possible to avoid tons of stress the day of.
