By taking the Skyline train from C to D/E you can remain in non-Schengen (no need to go through passport control) but you will have to clear security.

SQ25 should arrive at a B gate and LH flight to VCE should leave from an A gate. You will have to clear passport control and security whether you have to retrieve and re-check your baggage or not.
Go through passport control into Schengen, follow the signs for A/Exit, if no need to retrieve the luggage turn back through security and walk through the tunnel to A. Alternatively after passport control follow the signs for Exit, (go down one level to retrieve the luggage, go up one level to check the luggage if necessary) and go through security into A.

Hopefully, SQ will check the luggage all the way to VCE since LH is a member of star alliance. It will probably depend on the gate agent but maybe flying in SQ suites will help??
If I have to retrieve the bags, will slightly under 2 hours be enough time?

Looking at the last few days, you arrive at concourse C and depart from A. You will have to pass 1 security check and passport control. It is a 40 minutes walk involving a train transfer. If you are not late, you are fine. If you are late and spend enormous time taxiing, you better run and don't stop. If PRG is your final destination and you are not in a hurry, have no rush, there is a 12:50 flight you will be accommodated on.

Planning on a trip next summer from New Orleans on Condor, switching to Lufthansa at FRA and heading to either Nice or Brussels. The Condor flights from MSY arrive around 10:40 AM. How much time should I leave for the transfer?
Can I check my bags in MSY to the final destination or do I need to retrieve them in FRA and then recheck them?
How about the return trip? Likely it will be BRU - FRA - MSY. The Condor flights leave FRA around 11:50 AM.
And what exactly is Schengen?

AC Flight FRA > YYZ "departing at terminal 1" with no gate info this early
I only have an hour, historically my AC flight departs at B48 or around there.
