i was just asking because last time i flew out of JFK was late august, and they were still there then. i remember because they (HON+PA) were right next to me at the security checkpoint... anyway, if you time it right there is never a long line at JFK, at least not when taking LH405...

Very true. There are only a few ways to officially fast track CBP:
- Be a diplomat
- Be flight crew
- Be a member of NEXUS/Global Entry/Privium
- Be disabled or be traveling with someone who is
- Have an APEC card

I imagine those fast track cards in other countries end up being charged back to the airline. Perhaps the U.S. can institute a similar system for premium customers and charge airlines dearly for it. Maybe it could make enough money to get rid of ESTA (and US-VISIT, for that matter) for VWP visitors.

I think of possibly asking for a PA out of LAX because of the AIT Scanners in use at TBIT.

i do not know how much a PA would help you in this situation, if they pick you randomly (they already eyeball people way ahead before approaching the metal detector) you would only subject yourself to very "intimate" screening process assuming you refuse the AIT scanner...at least at JFK C/F lanes merge into regular ones and the TSA agents really dont care how you are flying
if you are lucky maybe a PA can bring you to a crew lane

When presenting my BP at the gate for my LOT operated LH flight I was asked: Would you like an upgrade? My ticket was in Eco and I became the only C pax by that upgrade, although the Coach cabin was not full. Limo-Service (BMW) to the plane. It was my first experience with LOT. Excellent.

What's the current situation for HONs in TLV?

On arrival (LH688) there was absolutely no assistance. What mamb0 described earlier with calling 5 minutes before arrival and having a real time saver sounds good, but whom to call (HON Service?) and does it also work when departing on LX?

Oh. I am surprised. Haven't been to TLV this month slash year yet. Did they enhance it away? TLV flights are HON heavy. Perhaps the bus was already full because of HOCs or a HON with family? HON PA for TLV arrivals is very helpful, esp. with immigration. Would really be a let down for me if that really is gone.

I arrived on LH688 one day this week, and there was a PA waiting for me (I was the only HON). As an Israeli the service is a bit of a waste, as walking is quicker and I have express passport control, but it's good for visitors. Not sure what happened with you - pls PM me the day.

Re departing - I don't normally use it, but there is a service - I will PM you the contact number to call. Not sure if it works for LX though, they used to have a different handling agent.

The PA brought us to the diplomatic channel for the immigration. Maybe they have improved their PA service.

When did this happen and on which flight?

When I arrived on LH710 a couple of weeks ago I politely told the PA that I knew my way around the airport and didn't need her service only to find that she was there to tell me that my baggage hadn't arrived and to take details. She accompanied me all the way to the customs but I wasn't taken through any special channel for immigration. Not that there was any need since there wasn't any queue.

Interesting. It must be an OS thing.

Any special treatment on the way out? Not that I needed any last week but sometimes passport control queues could be very long.
