But put it like this: BEY HON service is like Business Class on the BEY flights: it exists, but it's the downmarket version of it.

First off, an update on BOS arrival on LX. Met by PA, told us it's clear at Customs (meaning Immigration) and walked with us, said they could not skip the line. I was told the difference is whether LX lands before BA or not.
According to the June Swiss Magazine, they offer assistance / expedited immigration upon arrival & departure for HON & Business pax at IST.
Well apparently they now believe some assistance could be useful, even though it is usually pretty smooth. The assistance with the visa, if one needs visa on arrival, could be useful if there's a line there.

When this happens to me, while flying C, I simply put the Y stuff occupying my overhead space on the floor, so that I can store my perfectly legal 30 liter Rimowa instead.

p.s. According to united.com the United First Class Lounge in NRT is open from 11:30 to 19:30. It does not open early enough for LX161, so the only First Class Lounge option is the ANA Lounge.
