First off - thanks for the info.

There are 2 of us traveling together, does that change the calculus of where to sit? Both row 1 and 2 are wide open right now [except for us]

Cheers

I personally only care about not being seated in the middle row seats.

Most people travelling together seem to prefer row 2.

Sad the call center agent can't read you the exact fare rules... during normal office hours the LH USA number comes out in YPQ near Toronto. Those guys are pretty good...
thanks for the very prompt response.

is this what is required? as you can see the fare is very cheap and so i suspect it is a non refundable fare

Are you sure this is a regular booking done via LH-usa.com? The endorsement text itself indicates that refunds can only be done via the agent..... in any case its similar to the regular VHX... fare, just aprox 100$ cheaper. The regular fare is non refundable.

This post by oliver2002 confirms any checked bags are kept in an area reserved for lost and found for a couple of hours if you don't show up to claim your bags immediately after landing. So you can go to the FCL before collecting your bags and pick them up later.

Hello,

Is there a way to check M&M award availability? I have ANA tool, but it shows award availability for all A* members, and I need M&M specifically, like some SQ flights that are not available to all A*. I have an empty Lufthansa M&M account, and it does not show any SQ flight even in economy, when ANA shows seats available. Is it because I have zero M&M miles?

I am a bit confused about earning M&M miles on United/Continental flights. The MM webite tells me that when travelling on the "W" fare I earn 50% miles on United flights and 100% on Continental flights. When I book a ticket on-line (it's a WAW-EWR route) the Continental webite offers me 100% miles even on flights operated on United metal, while United offers me 50% miles for the same flights.

Question: If I book this flight though continental will I get 100% miles as the www is telling me?

ignore what Continental says, that's specifically for CO Onepass members...

In *A, it's always the OPERATING Carrier of the Flight that counts for Mileage accrual, so M&M will give you 50% Mileage on Flights operated by UA, and 100% on Flights operated by CO.
Of course, that's always assuming the Flights actually book into W; CO's W Fare may map into a different booking Class when operated by someone else's Flight...

change booking class

Hi,
I have one flight in September from Muc to Sin. The booking classes are Q (to Sin) and W (to Muc).
Is there any possibility to change the W fare to Q or just to a higher class which gives me 1x the miles instead of the 0.5x?
Could LH to this? Or is it impossible?
Thanks

Thank you... is there any way I can determine what miles I will actually get? This is a complex itninerary WAW-ORD-EWR-IAD-FRA-WAW on multiple carriers... the number of miles is improtant to me because if I am credited 100% then I will reach MM Gold Status

LH can do it against a change fee in most cases. Give them a call.

I believe M&M only shows awards on M&M airlines. If you want to check award availability on other *A airlines you will have to use the ANA or some other tools. For awards on SQ not available to all *A or awards which cannot be searched/booked online you will have to call M&M.
