If you are crediting miles to M&M and know the booking class, you can check how many miles you will earn on M&M airlines by using the M&M Mileage Calculator.

For routes flown on non-M&M airlines you may have to check the actual distance using a tool such as Great Circle Mapper and M&M's earning chart for the relevant airlines.

What sort of discounts does one get with Lufthansa, when one has an ISIC card? (International Student Identification Card)

You can book student fares with LH, which are about 10% cheaper that the published fares and allow one free change. In the US, these are sold directly via https://generationfly.com/ In other regions you have to go thru the usual TAs like STA that specialise in student fares.

LH440(1) FRA-IAH-FRA (Power socket, wifi etc.)

Hi, have a few questions I hope you are able to help me with. I am flying LH440 FRA-IAH and return;

1 - Are there power sockets there for my Mac?
2 - Wifi?
3 - Is the standard meal ok or should I opt for something else (I see on Lufthansa website there are several choices)

Any other tips are highly appreciated as well!

Happy flying.

Erik

1- No power in economy
2- wifi is slowly restarting, just A330 aircraft right now. LH440 is probably a 747, so no.
3- the regular eco food is decent enough

Cheers - appreciate the quick reply.

There must be power sockets for shavers in the toilets though that might be used or perhaps somewhere else?

What about personal tv's by the way?

Sadly the 747s don't have PTVs in Y (with 2 (?) exceptions), just the projector, although the rest of the LH Widebody fleet (A330, A340 & A380) has them. :-(

It seems people constantly leave their phones and laptops to charge in the toilets I would advise against it, just ask a FA if they can charge your computer for you, they do it sometimes.

747s don't have individual IFE on all aircraft yet.

he he... 3 of 30 744s currently have active 'flynet' installed and activated:

With a A330 you have the highest chance as many of them are active already.

Where are you flying from/to? And which class? Any *A status?

We may be able to suggest the best lounge to visit.

Flying from Chennai, India to Chicago, USA on Lufthansa. I will be flying First. I don't have any status with LH. I saw in Lufthansa's website that they have shower facility in their lounge, my question is is 3 hours enough time to get a shower?

Yes, 3 hours is more than enough for a shower during your layover. FRA has several lounges with showers but since you are flying First you can have a shower and relax in one of the First Class Lounges. The First Class Lounge in Pier B will be the most convenient lounge for you. If your flight to Chicago departs from an A gate (which is likely) they will drive you to your plane directly from the lounge.
