I'll be flying on an LH Schengen flight in C into FRA, connecting to an LH international flight in F out of FRA. If the Schengen flight parks at an apron / hard stand, will I get a special car to pick me up? Or will I have to ride the transfer bus with everyone else?

Please check other threads in this forum so you know what LH's old Business seats are like.
I typed YQ by mistake but that's a deciding factor now! I am planning BOM - FRA in mid-January, next year (dates are quite flexible). Since you mention about old J seats, can anyone check if seats are available in Y & J both ? Thanks!

Economy award seats are available on BOM-FRA every day between 13-25 January mostly via ZRH on LX. Business award is available on 15th (LH), 19th (LH), 20th-22nd (LH, direct or via MUC), 23rd (LH or LX via ZRH). Taxes & fees (including YQ) are 178.20 in LH Business or Economy 133.70 (direct to FRA). Taxes and fees will be higher on awards via MUC or ZRH especially the latter. The only dates in mid-January when I can find LH awards in Y are 16th (via MUC) and 21st (direct).

LX C seats are much nicer but you will have to pay higher taxes and fees for flying via ZRH.

A limo pickup for connecting F passengers is not guaranteed and only provided on a space available basis. You won't be missing much if you don't get a limo to pick you up because all they can do is to take you to a bus arrival gate. You will have to find your way to passport control along with everyone else. In your situation leaving the terminal and walking to the FCT might be the best option.

Thanks! I think 21st/22nd will fit in my schedule.

Is tax component significant compared to the *old* business seats in LH ? I would prefer via ZRH if they are worth it!

OK, here is your choice:

Tuesday, 21 January 2014 03:15 Mumbai 07:35 Frankfurt LH757
Normal flight award Miles & More Member 52,000 Miles 178.20

Tuesday, 21 January 2014 01:35 Mumbai 05:55 Munich LH765
Tuesday, 21 January 2014 07:00 Munich 08:10 Frankfurt LH093
Normal flight award Miles & More Member 52,000 Miles 234.90

Both options also available on Wednesday, 22 January 2014

Thursday, 23 January 2014 01:20 Mumbai 06:15 Zurich LX155
Thursday, 23 January 2014 07:05 Zurich 08:15 Frankfurt LX1068
Normal flight award Miles & More Member 52,000 Miles 236.10

On 21 and 22 January you should be able to get a Business award on LH either to FRA or via MUC to FRA. If you fly directly to FRA you are guaranteed the old C seat on the 747. If you fly via MUC taxes and fees are higher but you are likely to get the new C on the A330. I cannot find any C award on LX on 21st or 22nd but if you can delay your departure until 23rd you are guaranteed the new C with similar taxes and fees as an award via MUC.

LH old Business
(This is actually the interior of the A380 but the seats are the same)

LH new Business
(This is actually the interior of the 748i but the seats are the same)

LX Business

Hi Everyone,

My TA just booked a farily complicated ticket for me, but here's the part that bothered me:

OTP-FRA LH K Class
FRA-IAH LH K Class
IAH-ICT UA K Class

Now, for the 2 flights operated by LH, I understand that K class accrue 0 miles for UA. That's not cool!!! What options do I have? Can I call LH directly and ask to upfare and I pay the difference? Can I do this at the ticket office in OTP?

Thanks

First contact about this should be the TA, then the airline that has ticketed this....

Thanks, it's our company TA (Amex), so I don't know if they'll take it too lightly if I ask about paying more for the same ticket!

You should change your employer, if they send you Interkont in Y that's not good.

They won't be that surprised, they know what people do for miles.
