Dhacker,
I just talked to LP again, hoping maybe my Avianca had posted. It hasn't, so I explained again about not having some of the original ticket receipts. The rep said to get copies of them, and send them in explaining the situation. I asked what kind of copies and she just said "copies of the original receipt." I was encouraged that she didn't say, "too bad, you're screwed."

I spoke to LP twice today. They now claim that all my missing LP member flights have been "approved" and will post in a few days. I'm told my missing TW flights are still being "processed."
I used the word "lawsuit" for the first time today. Maybe it will help. I'm calling them back on Friday.

Thanks Plantlady. It's a moot point for me now. I convinced a very nice person at out corporate headqqurters to find and send me back the originals. They just arrived! Good luck with your copies.

Sending in Receipts/Boarding Passes:
A suggestion for those of you who are sending in your original boarding passes and receipts to LatinPass. Since the LP folks are apparently overwhelmed with all of our calls and boarding passes being sent in, why don't we do all of ourselves a favor and make things a little easier for them, while helping to prevent documents getting "lost".
What I am doing is compiling a folder with all of my receipts. I'm using one of those flat report folders that we used in high school for reports and papers. They have little metal tabs that will hold 3-ring punched sheets of paper. Create a list of all of the documents that you are sending into Latin Pass and number them. This should be the first sheet in your folder. Buy a set of tabbed, numbered sheets, and use these to separate all of your documents. Use clear plastic sheet protectors to hold your documents. Tape the tops to prevent documents from accidentally falling out. For boarding passes, staple these onto a sheet of paper so they are easy to see. Have one page for each carrier. Separate your airline flights materials from you hotel stay receipts from you car rental receipts. Include a cover letter with your Latin Pass account number that explains what you have included and what you want them to do with the materials. Annotate on the side of the tabbed pages what the documents are on the adjacent sheet protected page including all of the pertinent information such as the date of the flight, stay or rental, the flight number, the carrier, and what credit you are seeking (i.e. Nica or Saeta if on another carrier). Number of days (for car rental) and number of nights (for hotel stays). This does a couple of things. It organizes all of your documents so that LP can more quickly see that you have met all of the requirements, which hopefully gets everyone's miles posted more quickly. Additionally, there is much less of a chance that a document gets lost. It cost me less than $10 for all of this, and although it may take me a bit longer to put it all together, it will be much harder for a receipt to get accidentally or purposely lost once LatinPass receives it. Also, it may put some of the LP service representatives in a better mood. I know that I would get grumpy if I had to sort through all of the stuff that I plan to send in. Wouldn't you? If you help make their lives easier, they may be more helpful or flexible than if we just badger them with constant calls and complaints.

My million miles posted this week! That makes it 12 weeks after my last transaction. Apparently, LatinPass suggested to some that the bonus would post much quicker than this, but I think it's clear that LatinPass is making good on their offer. I don't think constant calling will speed things up for you. More likely, it'll just divert their staff from processing the bonuses. Organizing evidence of your transactions is obviously a good idea--anything to make their jobs easier. I expect it might take longer for some bonuses to post since I was at the front end of the tidal wave. If you don't have your miles after 12 weeks, stay cool; I'm confident you'll get your miles eventually.

Pudding Guy,
Thanks so much for posting your good news!! I, for one, will sleep a little better tonight....
How long did you have all credits in your account before the bonus posted?
I had been told that bonus miles would be posted July 1, but I guess they're starting early.....

Latest Update:
In a 16 minute phone call with LP today, I was first told that my missing LP member flights were processed on May 31, but that I needed to allow another three weeks for them to actually post. (Of course, these flights were on March 11 and 12, and LP has had the boarding passes since April 12.)
When I asked about my missing TWA flights (flown April 9, documentation also with LP since April 12), I was told that these flights are being processed "this week" (hey, it's already Friday).
Finally, I was told that a supervisor said that my bonus would "probably" post on June 19.
All I can say is that you folks going this month will be lucky to see your bonuses before Christmas.

To date, 3 days of Avis rentals, 1 night in a Courtyard, 2 nights in a Marriott, and segments on AV, LR, and TA have posted. I am still waiting on TW, VX, CM, and VH credits.

I get a good warm feeling when talking to LP on the phone. They pick up on the first or second ring, and they are polite and professional. When I told Rep. Jessie that I sent in certified and notarized copies of receipts and boarding passes on June 2nd, she already knew, from looking at my account info, that my documentation was in the correct department and that it should post without a problem, just call back in a few days.
I really expected them to balk at notarized copies, but so far so good. To make if easier for them (as I expect that they are overwhelmed), I included an annotated spreadsheet with all the qualifying activities.

I too have had nothing but good professional service form Latinpass. I have called from China a couple of times and the service has been very fast. Sounds like a bunch of nice people to me.

My TWA flights finally posted today. LP now claims they need another 48 hours to post the 500k bonus.
I'm not holding my breath.
