FWIW, the LP miles that I transferred to HHonors back in early June finally posted today.

(And an ironic sidenote: I transferred some miles from mammoth OnePass at around the same time to see which would post first. LatinPass won.)

Well, I am still missing alot of my flights from my May 1st million mile trip. Just received my first statement today. I now need to make a 24hr trip to Miami to visit LatinPass and try to straighten every thing else. Well frequent flyer miles are designed just for these last minute overnight trip. Add another 25,000 miles to the cost of obtaining 1,000,000.

Howdy ya'll..

I did the 500K -- all the flights and hotels in late March, last rental car in mid June. Almost everything has posted -- would anybody be interested in LP mileage run t-shirts? I've been away for a while and hadn't seen that idea floated (on one of the other LP message boards here on webflyer) more than a month ago. I do some graphic design work and would be willing to do the design -- I was partial to ?rhinochaser's? suggestion for a tagline... ("checked bags are for sissies") heh heh heh.

cheers,
nsw

I finished my run on June 5th, by June 21st all 10 of the Latinpass airlines had posted, Avis and the hotels didn't post until mid-July, and finally US Air posted last week, and the million mile bonus too. Still not sure if US Air posted by itself or from the boarding passes I dropped of in Miami on June 5th.

My wife and I completed the 1 million mile run on June 30th. I have not bothered Latinpass at all because of reports they are overwhelmed and so I have stood back and let some time pass.

QUESTION:
Do I need to submit all original documentation or is original documentation only required if there is a discrepancy?

Latin Pass requires original paperwork for all credits that did not post electronically. They are easy to contact by phone, so that you can tell which items did not post electronically. I do not know the status of the computer system. There was a storm in Miami 2 weeks ago that caused damage. So, if all is not fixed, you may not be able to obtain info on your current postings. Anything you send, make GOOD copies and send a method that requires signature for receipt. Of note: on airline tickets, they want the boarding pass AND the ticket receipt. For my view on LP, see my 8/23 post on "THE BUZZ." Best of luck to you.

I talked to LatinPass on Friday. They plan
to have the computers back and data restored
by next Thursday (8/31). I had the impression that the computers were up but they are working on getting backup data restored and transactions since 8/3 included. We'll see.

spoke with latinpass last tuesday......the friendly rep told me that they were working thru verifying missing credits week by week (based on the date they received hard copies of boarding passes, etc. sent in by passengers) and were currently reviewing materials that were sent in the second week of july.....she made no reference of the computer outage and was able to call my account up and review missing credits.......however, my million has yet to post (completed run in late may, sent in materials in 2nd week of july).......

That's interesting. My receipts were sent in the last week of June. I assume the review of
the hardcopy is just 1 step of the process.
If they don't have a record from the partner/etc, I think they request verification from that partner and that could
take weeks / 60days or whatever. I was missing Aeropostal (from April 10), USAir (June), Copa (may), ... Hopefully, it will be
soon and I can try to make all the reservations we've been waiting to do ;-)

I called LP today and they stated the computers will be up to date by Thursday. I mail by receipts and boarding passes in mid-June; all flights, etc. have now posted.

I'm still waiting on the bonus but I expect it will be forthcoming in the near future once they recover from the data problems.

FWIW, LP customer service has been first class -- quick to answer the phone and no holds.

I would agree that the LP reps are helpful and freindly, but at the same time they do not give any relevent information. Certainly since the computer sytem has been down so long they have enough people to answer the phone. After all what else are the reps going to do. I have heard that the computer system will be up every Thursday for the last three weeks. The system went down on August 2nd: even if they are able to bring it up this Thursday, which I doubt, it will still have been down an entire month. We are living in the 21st century, believe me when I tell you, systems do not go down for a month anymore. If you believe that: I have a bridge I would like to sell you.
I like most of the people who post to this forum have a great deal to gain if the Bonus offer turns out to be viable. I know that most of us would like to put our trust in LP, since we endured the challenges of the Latin Pass run. We also knew the risks involved in this program and decided to accept them. It is still my hope that this program will fullfill the promices made to us but I grow more leary each day.

called today as they said postings would be done today and now they said they'll be done on Tuesday. I know they are busy but they have had the documents for over 2 months now and would really like to be able to use their current promotions.

Wooohoooo!!! The million posted today! They weren't sure if the computers were back up, but since my account had a "minor" change, I assume that they are. My total 1,013,808 miles for $1344. That is $0.0013/mile. I'll probably use miles for flights to Toronto at 15k/flight, so 67 flights. At ~$400/flight, that's almost $27,000 of savings. Pretty good return on $1344. Of course, The trip itself was worth at least double that.

I'll echo what has been said again and again, this forum was infinitely valuable throughout the booking and traveling process. Special thanks to TexasYankee for making the trip a blast, and to MauiGirl (and husband) and HikerGuy for joining us in Lima.

Oh yeah, also want to thank the folks at LP. They were always friendly and helpful, always answered the phones quickly and treated me like somebody. All of the flights were outstanding quality and on time. I tried to compare them to our friends at UA, and gave up quickly. For not being prepared, they handled this program excellently! Kudos to Latin Pass!!!!

How about a party for the LP folks in MIA when all is said and done?
