Customers who have used Move to Mint certificate(s) who no-show for the flight without canceling the booking before the time of departure will forfeit the certificate(s) and applicable taxes, except where prohibited by law. Certificates and applicable additional taxes will be recredited to customers who have used Move to Mint certificate(s) if the flight is canceled or operated by substituted equipment on which Mint is not available. |

Holy hell dealing with Mosaic is so bad. Called to try and apply the MTM, finally got a price from agent last night FLL-SFO was 1 MTM, call back today to apply and agent has spent 15 minutes trying while lecturing me on why I should do this online and how hard it is for them to do it manually. Agent wasn't able to apply it and now is saying they need to file internal IT tickets, but is blaming me for not just doing it online. Yeah if I could do it online I would have. All this to just apply a cert is crazy.
After all this agent now says that price is 4 MTM for FLL-SFO for a $750 mint flight. Well then, I guess its time to just HUACA. Well after talking to multiple agents it seems like price is stuck at 4 for this flight. None of them have any clue but just say that demand is high. Online chat agents all say its 1 cert but cannot help apply. |

JetBlue, like all airlines, will sweep passenger manifests occasionally and cancel duplicate or overlapping bookings. But as long as you call to cancel the original ticket or tickets immediately afterwards (reminding them to leave the remaining tickets on the original reservation in place), you shouldn't have an issue. Just don't plan to wait a day to cancel the original or they could cancel the new one with the MTM certs. I've had duplicate bookings a few times on JetBlue for brief periods (e.g., switching from cash to points booking or vv) and it's been fine. |

It's just like last year's version of MTM. They've set up a system that is fine if it works as intended. And when it doesn't work as intended, which is more often than it should be, they make it almost impossible to rectify.

Can anybody confirm usage of MTM certs on an itinerary of more than 2 people? If I book 4 passengers (myself included, M3) for a OW trip could I apply MTM certs to all 4? I have 4 certs so would be looking for a trip with redemption value of only 1 cert per trip of course.

Some responses to above:
1). If you cancel an itinerary with MTM you get the certificates restored. Best way to assure it happens immediately is to call and have them remove MTM which you can do at any time. Then cancel 2). I believe MTM only applies to one companion but i did not research to verify. Perhaps I just assumed because that is how every normal airline operates. 3). Continually annoyed with Jet Blue. If the fare changes on just about any other carrier (maybe not AA) whether paid or award, even if I have been upgraded I can have ticket reissued and get the difference back as credit. Some carriers I can do this online myself (Delta for example). B6 - I ticket at 24,300 points per person. Confirm MTM. 3 days later fare is 18,000, so for two pax overpaid 12,600. Can’t change award travel - have to cancel and rebook. Mosaic desk can’t tell me how many certificates will be needed for new itinerary if I cancel and rebook without an existing reservation by a mosaic who has enough certs. So do I risk losing mint trying to get my 12k points back - of course not. Another reason this system is so poorly deployed and not customer friendly! I sent them a message asking for something as a customer service measure but not hopeful they will make this right. They probably don’t even see anything wrong with their IT. |
