Does anyone have any experience with Nikka Yoichi Single Malt? I’m seeing it at different places for around 4200 yen. Seems like a good price for an entry level NAS. Thanks!

Slightly off topic, but I was in London and Amsterdam last week and the DF stores at the airport all had Nikka 12 readily available. Not the best price at over 100 euros, but plenty of availability - probably at least 80 bottles

Very lucky month, ended up with 3 bottles of Hibiki 30 after winning the Mitzukoshi lottery and having some great timing at the airport!

Scored the last Suntory bottle at Narita T2 this afternoon (via my flight attendant gf) and it was the uber rare Hakushu 18

Gorgeous bottle indeed. Was this by lottery or first come first serve? Morning or evening flight? (If you can find out the details)

Just pure luck. No lottery. Was around 3pm.

Perks of having a FA girlfriend.
I reckon this is really good luck, aged Hakushus (lesser extent Yamazakis) are just rare stuff. Definitely have to go to Japan again before Olympics (and hopefully buy few more bottles home)

Funny enough I've been able to find enough aged Hakushus here (12 y/o in US) but not really Yamazakis.

Agree. H12s in the US are becoming easier to find. H18s still fairly difficult. Y12s show up everywhere these days.

Agreed , they keep popping up at local Costcos. Strange for a supposedly discontinued bottle (H12). I wonder if they were just unloading the remaining stocks.
