And I imagine breakfasts, a congenial cafe and drinks are not too hard to find without recourse to a mini-bar or the IC lounge!
The Greenbelt Malls with tons of stuff are an easy walk.
I try not to be concerned that it was bombed two weeks after my last visit.
I think I will go to Zamboanga after this next MNL IC visit.

+ since tourism has gone down a lot in Egypt, vendors/beggars/camel owners you name it, are likely to be to be more aggressive than ever.

CP Kuala Lumpur is off the list too, but currently still bookable at 5K points. This may not last very long though.

Thanks for the reminder ! I did just try to book a night there,
it showed 5K for a King Deluxe, but on finalizing booking,
it choked and said I don't have enough points (account has 12K),
...so I am too late...not a big loss...

I think you are correct.
Therefore I will stick with MNL.

If I don't leave Makati, it should be OK.
Actually, it is good fun to ride the elevated rail line(s) to the old city.

So many fast legs and hands,

The Intercons are all gone.

The offers that got me looking was the hangzhou HI. Can take a short holiday there.

Make sure to double check your cancellation policy before booking. I found at least one date at the HI Esplanade Darwin when the cancellation policy changes from 6pm day prior to arrival to non refundable (it looks like there is less availability in the area in general). So make sure to check your cancellation policy unless you are 100% certain about your dates. The wording mentions that, once booked, the reservation cannot be canceled without penalty, so in the case of cancellation or no show, the rate for the first night would be charged. On this particular date, the lowest rate seemed to be the rack rate: so, would you lose 5000 points or $300+?

Had to cancel 2 of my IC Manila Bookings since apparently it showed as PB but did not realize booking was actually at regular points (30k) when confirmed.

Same happened to me with Crowne Plaza Commerce yesterday... said 5K when I booked but the email confirm said 25K.

I called and they agreed it was showing 5K to them too, but no longer on the PB list so they wouldn't honor it.

wow ... did i just missed the boats on IC/CP reservation with 5k points ... seems like the PB will be sunset and replaced by the Last Minutes Rewards Night deal which is less attractive ...
