Now you don't have to ask for an internet code at the club as an RA. As an RA they are now taking it off your bill if you ask.

Cheers.
Travelguy1965 When I checked in (just under 3 weeks ago), I was directed from the front desk to that desk beside the Concierge desk. It had an ambassador sign on it. No one was there so I went back to the Front Desk and they escorted me to the Club. A bit of mucking round!

One night I got the code from the Club for internet access. When it expired I couldn't be bothered tramping back to the Club so just logged on again. The two nights that were charged were similarly removed from the bill at checkout in the Club without me asking.

Do you know if they are upgrading to the club still on stays after the first one?

The IC SF has not yet hired anyone full time yet for the Ambassador Desk
However if someone is available from the club lounge in (off hours) or elsewhere they do allow for personal check in at the Ambassador desk next to the Concierge stand

what is the best view at the New IC SF? As a RA, I was informed that they upgrade to a corner junior suite. They told me that there is a city view and a bay view. Which is better? Has anybody stayed on both ends, if so, which is the better view to request? Thanks!

I don't think this is both ends of the building as much as it is either side on one end - please correct me if I am wrong.

The Junior suites are xx19 and xx20. xx19 has a better overall view of the bay - IMO. xx20 looks over the mall on the left side and do still get a slight view of the bay bridge on your right but not too much.

Either is quite splendid. I didn't stay in an xx19 but I was able to peak in once when room service was there.

I've been given access to the club lounge and been given a junior suite on each visit. I've stayed there 3 times now. The last was 2 weeks back and I'll be three again next week or the week after. So - yes I think so as they did for me two weeks back.

globaltrotter is asking if any one person here has experienced rooms at both ends of the hotel to compare views.

My friend and I were on the north end, so I can't tell you what the south-facing rooms' views are. Here are my photos, if you haven't already seen them.

FYI Not looking to create a problem or a sense of entitlement

These corner rooms are routinely being referred to as jr suites by both the hotel and other guests who are accepting the description as such
IMHO they are nothing more then outstanding oversized corner rooms with a large expanse of glass windows

I am satisfied in them overall however we are not getting real suites despite the hotels spin on the situation at present calling them jr suites
A more accurate description would be oversized deluxe studio corner
Bering it is one standard room with no separate room(s) of any kind

Fully agreed but they are nice and when I inquired on one stay they said they would but really thought I'd rather stay in the corner room.

Given I was alone I took their advise. Maybe part of it is sincere.

Has anyone pressed them on it? An how they can call it a suite?

They can rename them as Executive Rooms and then use these as upgrades for RA's and meet the requirements of the program, IHG has no standards or definition as to what constitutes an Executive Room or Suite.

They are giving RA's a complimentry access to the Club Lounge or is it with the post card promo only?

Anyone recall what the parking charge is? Any parking options?

Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience booking 1 KING CLUB IC 2 PERS as an RA and getting a double upgrade? A double upgrade I assume would be the KING BAY SUITE .

Thanks!

Hi - What is the post card promo? I have not used it and have received lounge access each time.

Valet is $52 per day.
Alternate parking at a public garage is one block away towards West. It is $30 per day.

They sent out postcards in the mail to some RA's offering free lounge access or other things (I believe internet was among them).

Unless someone else is paying, DO NOT rent a car and park at a hotel in SF. This is TOTAL waste of money. If you want to drive up to Marin or Napa, rent a car or a driver for the day. Otherwise, you can use SF's excellent public transit to see The City.

The $30 down the street is not bad.

I need to get to IC SF from SFO around midnight for a two night stay, then up to Berkeley and back the next day. Taxi fare from SFO to the IC SF shouldn't be bad, but up to Berkeley would be costly.

Does anyone know of a rental car agency near the IC SF?

Thanks.
