Indeed.. ;)

I flew in last week and one of the players was on my flight. I honestly didn't know who he was till I asked the FA what the big deal was.

Aa few of them (6 or so) flew in to LHR a couple of days back on BA 138 from BOM. Was that the flight you were on? Or were they going "desi", like you, on 9W? ;)

That is just wrong!!! As a "pure non-vegetarian" :o , I would have been mighty pissed to get a veg starter in F. Grrrrrrr.

I've always been intrigued by the phrase "pure vegetarian". Does that imply there are impure vegetarians? What do they eat and not eat?

Yes, of course. The word "shudh" (pure) is used to advertise a certain standard of vegetarianism, such that for example non-veg meals are not prepared in the same kitchen. But some "impure" vegetarians don't care about that. And then again there was my grandmother, who considered onions and garlic to be non-vegetarian and would not use dishes on which meat, fish, onions or garlic had ever been placed...

In the west there are many other levels. Eggs, for example, are eaten by many vegetarians, and that makes sense since commercial eggs cannot hatch. Some vegetarians will eat fish, which makes no sense. And then again there are vegans...
