Yup, that'll do it. The best treatment for that is to cease the offending activity. :p

Did Jet Airways design that ad by mistake (maybe they meant to advertise JFK-BRU-EWR or something)? Or did some automated program generate the ad based on your viewing/searching history?

Whizkid Nov 22, 2011 2:37 am

I belive it's automated ad generation - when I look up some fares in Jetairways.com and then move to airliners.net, I always see some targeted ads based on the city combination I searched earlier.

I am currently in the US, and need to transfer some significant INR to USD and just saw the rates! :(

And just as I was trying to digest that, I got an email from my banker with the latest stock market holdings value and the m-o-m change in value. aaarrrggggggghhhhhhhhh. :(

Any "gyan" for from the gurus here, especially re. the forex forecasts? Is 53 the new reality for the USD, or worth holding off the transfer as far as possible?

It will probably correct upward tomorrow (or did it do that today?) and then might go down from there.

This morning's HSBC rates went down from yesterday's peaks, but today's ending rates for the USD went higher but did not end as high as yesterday's peaks...

Understand Govt banks were intervening yesterday and probably today, but I wouldn't hold my breath - definitely a downward trend at present, but according to experts it is unwarranted, so if you can wait, there should be some sort of upside - but it may be a long wait! :p

Right - the discounts you get will far outweigh any forex losses...unless we have a meltdown!
