Bed Type

Sometimes I want kings, sometimes I need doubles. No matter what I chose in my reservation, the preference in my account shows up for the front desk. Awhile ago I noticed you can choose "no prefence" in your profile; I did that. It still shows up king (at the bottom of the reservation) and what I specifically choose for that particular stay at the top. Luckily the hotels have had both bed types available for my stays, so they've been able to give my what I need. But I just hope I don't have a problem in the future if I happen to stay during more busy times.

Mod note: Since problems seem to be "extensive" again, I'll make this a sticky again - at least temporarily.

Their various web site problems will lead to other problems for members--as of yet do not know what kind--but see it coming.

I frequently have this problem, too. While Hyatts are my preferred brand, on at least one occasion it just wasn't worth fighting with the web site so for that reason only I booked with Starwood.

Hyatt could at least mitigate this issue by not timing users out so quickly. It's like they say "Visit our site" but once you're there it's "Go away and don't come back."

On a daily basis I have the problem when logging in for the second time that a "session already exists" and it will not allow me to log in.

I have tried using IE, clearing cookies, using chrome and firefox etc. No luck.

Anyone have a solution?

This always happens to me as well. I have gotton to the point where I click "Not Gregorygrady" under the login boxes. That acts to log out my acct which was previously halfway logged in and then I can start over and login again properly. I have also had more success when logging in via goldpassport.com rather than hyatt.com sometimes when hyatt.com is giving me extra trouble. I really don't know how hard it can be for Hyatt to fix these website problems, they have been ongoing on and off for years!!!!

I always have exactly the same problem. When this happens, I usually try to log in from the goldpassport site, here. Then, I can at least make new reservations online. Existing reservations often disappear from my account, but they usually come back on the next day.

Another option for those using FF: I set an exception for hyatt.com cookies to "allow for session". So, closing the browser deletes the cookies and gives you a "clean slate" when you restart.

As far as I know, only FF gives you the option to set cookie-handling on a site-specific basis.

Hyatt Fix Your Website...

I know they read this... All you Hyatt fans know the problems:
1. Logging in/out (already logged in)?
2. Slow
3. Making future reservations and allowing to adjust check in/out days on the same page without hitting the "back" button the browser.
4. Listing the rates by day or adding the day, instead of calculating backward from the date of check in, to know what day # is costing $150 and not $125?

other than that thanks for FFN!

What I wouldn't give for this function on hyatt.com!!!! This is one of my biggest peeves about hyatt.com, especially when you hit the "back" button to change a date which causes the whole annoying large map to load up again in slow motion speed.

Consider yourself lucky. My simply logging in is very hit or miss. Most of the time, it tells me to log out when I'm not even logged in. Clearing all my Hyatt cookies doesn't do much good.

The only reliable way for me to access the site is to reset my password. I have to be a little desperate for a room to motivate myself to do that.
