Based upon requests, this is now a wiki - please feel free to edit - but please only post the suite that you are confirmed into and not what you ultimately get (eg PH Vendome books into Park Suite but many ultimately get a Park Executive Suite). I'll start with that one for formatting example - I will try to do refinements to this when I have some time later.

To check the room type you booked into, you may use Hyatt E-Concierge:

The GH Melbourne is a nice hotel. I'm certain it will be amazing once the rooms have been refurbed as well. Aren't the bedside controls, phones and clocks circa early 1980s?

Yes they are a little bit dated, I'm sure those items will be a target of the refurbishment. The already refurbished public areas are very nice.

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa--Bastrop, TX

While this was not a confirmed suite upgrade, I thought this might be helpful information. I've been told by GP that the normal confirmed suite upgrade at this property is to the Junior Suite, a 770 SF 1 (Queen) bd-1ba with living room, so I did not use one for this stay.

When we checked in, we were assigned to non-suite accommodations, so we inquired as to availability of a suite using a paper certificate that will expire soon. Initially, we were offered a Junior Suite, just as we would have gotten with the confirmed suite upgrade. Since the property appeared to have low occupancy, we asked if there were other suite types available. We were then given what they called an "extended" suite, which had a large King bedroom, large living area with wet bar and patios with seating areas off both the bedroom and living room facing the river. We thought it was wonderful, especially for the $119 AAA rate!

I am wondering am I the only one not able to see the confirmed suite upgrade on Hyatt.com? No matter what I do, all my confirmed upgrade is not showing it online unlike some posters reported here.

Neuro0 I think this varies by property. I rang the Diamond Line because of several upcoming reservations some show the suite room type, others show no room type, but a standard description and state "This reservation cannot be modified online. Please call 1-800-228-3360 or contact your nearest Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Centre to modify your reservation."

When I queried this with GP they stated that there is an inconsistency in the system. I'd recommend calling the property directly to see that a suite has, in fact, been blocked for your stay.

No, you are not, but I feel confident to add that your Diamond Suite Upgrade Awards were deducted from your account! If you are anxiously call the hotels in question and ask what's on the table for you.

Used on of the upgrades at the HR Delhi. I was, not unexpectedly, charged the luxury tax on the suite rack rate of the room. It isn't broken out as a line item but the room rate/night was much more than rate per night.

For instance: Booked rate at INR 9750++ and routinely upgraded to a Club Room. Ended up paying about INR 11700 / night.

Confirmed Suite Upgrade: Booked rate of INR 9750++ and used a confirmed Diamond suite upgrade to a standard suite (not Club Suite) and ended up paying INR 12000 / night.

It would seem that the rack rate of a Club King is similar to that of a standard suite. Suite was nice and there was a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for me.

This upgrade was secured with points, as it was a points booking.

1. Hakone Hyatt
2. Regency Suite Twin
3. 820 Sq Ft
4. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
5. A
6. Corner room on 3rd floor, with view on one side toward hills and Mt Fuji (rarely seen, due to clouds, but we had the pleasure for about 5 minutes each on two days). The view on the other side was to the hills where the character for Hakone is carved in the hill. The living room has a great view thru the bedroom to the hills on that side, and thru the windows thru the hills to the other.

Just FYI...I have done 3 suite upgrades this year (GH Bali, PH Saigon & GH Seoul). In each case I was emailed a new reservation showing the confirmed upgrade, and yes, My Reservations on hyatt.com also showed the confirmed upgrade.

Got a very nice two-room suite at the Churchill this weekend, on the top floor (9th) as part of the Presidential Suite complex. Fruit and water, some candies and a half-bottle of Chilean red wine. And of course, lounge access and free internet.

Bali Hyatt

1. Bali Hyatt
2. Regency Suite King (room 1210) http://bali.resort.hyatt.com/hyatt/h...cale=&start=10 But, the layout was slightly different.
3. 120m2
4. 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1.5 bathrooms
5. A-
6. The room was on the second floor at the NW corner of the first building (hibiscus court) just south of the Regency Club. The "living" room had a wrap-around porch with outdoor shower, 2 lounge chairs, a wooden sofa under a thatched roof hut with ceiling fan, and hammock. The bedroom had a small porch with a table and two chairs. I was able to pick up the Club's wifi while in the hammock. ^ Was provided two Bali Hyatt polo shirts, a box of chocolates, and full bottle of wine shortly after check-in. While at dinner the tub was filled with flowers by the turn-down service (we were celebrating a honeymoon and wife's birthday). To follow up on previous posts, I was listed as a "VIP" on the Club's roster.

5. A
6. The room was at the end of the hall on the ground floor. The two sliding-glass doors looked out onto the park, bridge, and North Sydney. From the porch you could see the Opera house. I concur. Given that the hotel rarely sells the base room, even for award stays, I would expect a suite upgrade to have been a Premier Suite. Suites by definition have a separate bedroom and living area.

Yes, but this room was larger than the Premier Suite. For the price I paid it was well worth the use of the upgrade.
