Seems a bit egregious to pay any destination fees at any hotel that’s not a resort; but especially more to pay a destination fee for a hotel nowhere near Manhattan. Luckily should be waived with globalist status. I’m going to reach out to my concierge to get in writing to see if they’ll indeed honor the rate and apply a TSU. If I apply a TSU technically the property will get some reimbursement from Hyatt in addition to the cash from my reservation so I’ll feel a bit better and everyone will be happier but we will see.
I would suggest not reaching out to your concierge to ask if a hotel will honor a rate. That's asking for trouble. Reach out and ask for a TSU to be applied, sure. But don't ask "is this rate going to be honored?".

I have a booking later this year with this rate. When I booked it I got a rate of $40 a night; $60 was also available.
The reservation has held for about 3 weeks I believe perfectly fine. I just checked after seeing this thread and the rate is the same but now the reservation includes a destination fee appended as a separate line item of roughly 30 dollars a night. I didn’t know a hotel could modify an existing reservation like this. Now the rate is effectively 70 a night. When this property opened I saw introductory rates between 75-89 dollars; so even if this rate was a “mistake” the nightly rate is what I’ve seen them charge in line with promotions from the past. Considering there is a casino attached; with comps being offered to frequent players; and it being close to introductory rates I’d assume this is probably the lowest rate they’d actual honor and make very little money on or break even.

Logic would say when you book and it’s not being disclosed they shouldn’t just modify it after the fact but the rate is so cheap I can’t blame them for trying to make back some cash on their mistake if they indeed end up honoring.

Some friends booked a room for 8 days, a few weeks ago and it was honored, no questions asked. I think the mistake rate stopped showing just before their checkout day, so they might have been the first guests staying with this rate and responsible for the hotel realizing the error... Interestingly, the rate came down to 30usd when you added a third guest.

I had a brief one-night stay here recently.
I had landed at LGA and wasn't set on the most appropriate way to make it to the hotel. The information desk told me a cab would be hands down more cost effective at $30-$35 while Lyft and Uber were both showing upwards of $60. I took a cab and got the least interested driver imaginable. It cost me $36 plus tip and took about 45 minutes in weekday peak traffic.
The app wasn't showing any pre-arrival upgrade and I was expecting to have to fight for it but I was upgraded to an executive suite on arrival. It's really quite a nice suite with a half-bath in addition to a large bathroom with separate tub and large shower. There were two huge TVs, electronic blackout blinds and USB charging points at the bed. To my surprise, the bathroom amenities were Le Labo in good-sized bottles.
The regency club on the ground floor is a bit sterile but has "happy hour" from 5pm to 8pm. There are no standalone spirit bottles but canned cocktails like Long Island iced tea, rum and ginger and margarita. There were also cans of beer and cans of wine. Food was very limited with only three hot items (in addition to some salads) but it was quality and plenty of it. Breakfast as a Globalist was also only available in the regency club. Again, offerings were quite limited but of good quality.
I was flying out of JFK and enquired with the bellman what the approximate cost would be. He said it was a flat $25 which stunned me given I'd paid $36 to come from LGA. I booked a Lyft instead and paid just under $19 pre-tip for the 10 or so minute ride to terminal one.

After 2 nights at the St. Regis the travel gods rewarded me with a flight cancellation and my least favorite thing: a rebooking to a morning flight from JFK, 7:45am and I have a checked bag and it's DL and they are sticklers for the bag-drop deadline. (I hate mornings, unless I see them after having stayed up all night.) The silver lining is that travel insurance is covering tonight at the Hyatt RW JFK and I have to say it's a pretty stinking nice hotel. Compared to the utter garbage that is pretty much every LGA and JFK hotel, this place is a breath of fresh air.
I booked the room on the ride to the hotel, and the check-in agent upgraded me to a suite (sounds like the same exec suite described above with the extra half-bath, etc.). Lounge is fine -- the hot dishes aren't quite my style (2 of three are fried: arancini and potato croquette, and the other is a greasy beef egg roll thing), but the cold stuff is quality and I probably need a few plates of salad after this weekend anyhow. It's fairly crowded and the agent said it all stops at 8 (contrary to the app, which says food until 8 but drinks until 11). But still a nice perk.
TWA remains a no-brainer if you have an early a.m. flight out of T5, otherwise this is my new go-to JFK hotel (not that I had one before... I simply avoided having to stay near JFK).
bedroom
bathroom
large tub
living room
good salad ingredients

Sorry - missed the message until this morning.
It was much easier to get an Uber this morning than I had thought - he took all of two minutes to get there.
Means I am at the airport at stupid o'clock!

Nice, I went with the hotel-arranged car to ensure a 6:15am pickup but it wasn't there.... doorman kept saying 2 minutes (I should have just called an uber then) and it ended up being 6:29 before we left. Barely made the bag-drop deadline.

Markie PM me if you're here -- I'm in the lounge drinking the sugary canned cocktails, LOL.
