Breakfast gratuity hit the folio and I wanted it taken off.

Around what time did you check out today? The agent I spoke to made a point of asking how breakfast was and when I said it was “fine” she had some feedback about how she thought the menu was perfectly adequate.
“You had some meat, some eggs, some fruit, some eggs right? I don’t see what more you could want”. Felt very prompted by a previous interaction.
I also want to know which of you guys got greeted by name by every single server as you walked to your table.

I thought the breakfast was adequate and generous as I stated previously based on rate paid.
Not sure what you are referring to with being greeted by name

Same thing happened with me. On Tuesday afternoon, I saw my folio has the tips (from Hash House breakfast) charged to my room. I went to the VIP FD and they gladly removed it. I explained to her that it didn't happened on Monday. She told me it was a glitch. They will be fixing it soon. Then this morning, I saw the same charge to my room again, after my breakfast. And since VIP wasn't open yet, I went straight to the regular FD and they helped me removed that as well.

HH
I just had breakfast at HH and decided to try the waffle. It was BAD. It tasted like it was made from the cheapest store-bought mix after sitting out for 2 hours at a buffet in a 1-star hotel. The butter was tasteless, the syrup was a basic breakfast syrup and the "fruit" was one strawberry that was way past its prime. After one bite I said "hell naaah" and subbed it for the basic breakfast. That was a MUCH better choice with great potatoes and bacon. I also had a latte which was very good (4/5) and average orange juice (3/5).

The VIP reps said that it is an issue with POS system and that the gratuities would be taken off at checkout even if we just dropped off the keys. They went ahead at that time and removed them from my account. I prefer seeing a clean checkout folio rather than having to deal with it at checkout, or worse after the credit card has been billed.

They do not use real butter
It’s evident when you taste the scrambled eggs.Just industrial grease.
Most don’t know the difference especially if they don’t cook with it
Many hotels do this you see them squirting oil out of a plastic container
Or putting in commercial margarine on plates or whipping artificial butter to fool
their guests.Even a good chain will use the real deal
Been a pet peeve of mine for years. Your rating is pretty much on point
and generous.I still would prefer it over Hyatt Place.
Heard they are saving that waffle for your return visit 😂

I have used both Apple Pay and tapped a physical card to check in. The device is on the counter facing the guest so the agent should not have a problem with it.
(I say that because at other properties Ive had plenty of experiences where the agent swoops in trying to stop my transaction despite it being technically supported)
