Signing up for the "Endless Possibilities Promotion" is no problem for the challenge? Just want to make sure.

You'll also receive a bonus of 1,000 points per night for the first 6 nights undergoing your Diamond Challenge as well.

Is there any way I can check if DSUs are available for the Park Hyatt Goa from March 4th until March 8th?

I havent started the challenge yet, so i dont have any DSU yet to check it...

Maybe someone here (with DSUs in Account) could check if there is such Upgrade available?

Thank you in advance

You must call Gold Passport to check availability and or confirm a suite upgrade.

Would they do that for a non-Diamond? Should they?

IMO, not sure with this specific set of circumstances but they definitely should if someone has the Certs in their account but no longer a Diamond (didn't complete a challenge). If they didn't, then you couldn't use the Certs still in your account - if they don't want to do this then the Certs should expire when the trial status does.

I called up and told them I was thinking about the Diamond challenge and asked about suite availability for an existing reservation. They were happy to assist. Not sure why they wouldn't or shouldn't...

I called about DSU availability today and the agent didn't even ask for my GP number before checking, so I don't think it makes a difference.

A bit disappointed with my latest interaction with GP customer service. I booked a stay in Vegas at an MGM hotel and the agent told me that it would count towards my Diamond trial. Later on, I was reading a few posts on Hyatt-MGM where a few posters said the stays do not count toward the trial. I called customer service back to confirm and after about 1/2 hr on line with agent trying to confirm, she said no it wouldn't count and was sorry that this rule is not clearly stated.

If I hadn't read it on FT, then I wouldn't have recheck. Diamond Trial T&C should be more clear on this issue.

BTW, after getting MLIFE status, I was able to get a better rate than what Hyatt website was offering for the same hotel (about 20% better).

If MGM stays counted towards Diamond Challenges, there would be a ton of people qualifying off $40 rates.

The Diamond Trial T&Cs state that MGM stays don't count.

In years past, did the challenge get "renewed" after February or was it closer to the end of April? What I mean is when does the "between June 1, 20__, and April 30, 20__" date get revised in the offer?

I became Hilton Honors Gold via a stray conversation with an Amex Platinum rep.

I have not stayed in a HIlton Honors property in a coon's age.

I do have -- for real ! -- a Waldorf-Astoria (hence HH) stay booked.

When I took the screen shot of my HH Gold status, the upcoming stay was on the page. I went into the Paint utility and circled it in red.

Sent this modified screen shot to Hyatt GP. Got a quick reply that I was eligible. We agreed on a start date and I am currently doing the Diamond Trial.

I don't think that the upcoming stay really mattered. There was certainly no past stay.
can you set your start date for say, several months from now?

Jimgotkp, the point I was trying to make was that GP agents were giving out conflicting information.
