Hyatt, you are now losing my business as a result of your inability to run a website. I am a Diamond and default to Hyatt for all of my trips, but three times in the last two days I couldn't even pull up the hyatt.com homepage. When it does come up, I'm not able to reliably sign in to my account or view existing reservations. Today I couldn't even get to a specific property's home page to get their number to discuss a specific reservation need. This is unacceptable for a world-class hospitality provider.

I love the service Hyatt extends, I am happy with the quality of the properties, and the value I get for my money. But the lack of a functional website has already driven me to your competitors for my next 2 stays. I don't understand why this is not a priority for Hyatt.

Ditto, I've been trying to plan and make a reservation all afternoon. This is more than a small blip.

In the middle of the search and reservation it decides there are no longer rooms available or no longer can find the hotel or forgets what dates I'm trying to book.

And again the website is not working. Is it too much for a company with $3.5 billion in revenues to have a working website?

The sad thing is that they are probably getting ripped off by the IT people/ other companies they employ by charging exorbitant prices and under-delivering... and consequently the shareholders are losing out too.

I just realized that 18,000 points were erroneously taken out of my account. I was in the middle of doing an award reservation when I got called away from the computer. When I returned, I attempted to complete the reservation, only to get the message that I had been logged out due to inactivity. I never got a chance to reattempt the reservation, but I learned today that the 18,000 points were taken out anyway even though no reservation was ever completed.

Yet again:

"Hyatt.com, GoldPassport.com, HyattPlace.com, HyattSummerfieldSuites.com, Andaz.com and HyattVacationClub.com are currently down for maintenance.
We apologize for the inconvenience. To make a reservation, please contact us using the link below."

This is ridiculous and a horrible way to run a business it's still down!!! I can not tell you how many times I come home from work/gym and try to book a room for an up coming trip and the dam website is down.

I don't have this issue with any other website, BUT HYATT!!! :td::td::td:

My frustration with this issue will lead me to spend $$$ elsewhere. Unacceptable in 2011!!! get with the times Hyatt. A bad website leads to lost business!!!

I'd actually prefer a message of this sort. It means that they know there are problems and have taken the system down to rectify them. The random "page cannot be displayed" or weird JBoss errors are more worrisome because they indicate problems the dev team aren't addressing.

I should mention that I get this message and the JBoss error. Both are appearing tonight as I've tried to access the site.

It's also more worrisome because it means the IT team isn't capable of configuring the system to provide meaningful/user-friendly error messages.

it's been several days now that I've not been able to search for a "costco" rate - is it more likely that Hyatt.com has been down since the weekend, or has the costco rate been discontinued and the website just gives me stupid error messages since it doesn't know how to do better?

I just searched for

- San Francisco
- Offer Code COSTCO
- March 16-19

(random values, for the purpose of this answer)

and the site worked fine for me. Incidentally I also saw that they have a 48 hr sale ongoing at the GH SF. Maybe at other properties, too.

Try a different browser and/or clearing your cache and cookies.

I've done so, entirely different computers even. The most recent 'error' is that I search the city for the desired dates, and from the list of available hotels I select the closest, then the website either puts an error saying no rooms are available and suggests the same hotel as an 'alternative' or it doesn't bother with any message at all and just refreshes the list of 'matching hotels'

The 'matching hotels' list shows the average room rate available, but it's not possible to select the hotel and pull up the listing of rates.

I don't want to call just to get rate quotes.

I'd also guess that the architecture of swapping into specific long-character sub-domains unique to each hotel is giving their programming a lot of unmanageable complexity

More issues yet again. Am trying to book a room, but I keep getting "service temporarily unavailable" messages
