Hi. I work in the Hyatt E-Commerce team. Sorry to hear you're having a problem...

Anyone else having a problem with special offers search?

Search term: China
Date: Not specified
Interests: Hyatt Goldpassport Special Offer selected
Hyatt Brand: All selected

Search results: 10 offers found at 10 hotels

 AFAIK, there are 3 hotels in China not on that list: PH Shanghai, GH Shenzhen and HR Jingjin City

kuponuts Oct 1, 2010 11:37 am

Oh... it's missing HR Dongguan and HR Hong Kong Shatin also...

wbernahl Oct 2, 2010 6:25 am

These apparently missing properties just don't have GP special offers available at this time. Not all properties have GP special offers at all times. The same is true in "Special rates" and the other categories. For example, PH Shanghai is offering a "world expo special rate". Most properties in China are not offering rate specials at this time. The good news is most are offering a special offer to gold passport members.

I don't like the new GP bonus page:td:

Thanks. This new setup sucks.

Sigh. So much money I want to give Hyatt.

I called the Plat desk about fifteen minutes ago, and try said that their computers were also down, for at least another hour. Hyatt, wth?:td:

Whoever was responsible for that website redesign should be fired. One thing that was already bothering me before were the short time periods until your session times out. They definitely have not fixed that.

+1

I absolutely hate the new layout for the bonus points section. They should go back to the previous version, which let you see offers by hotel, not the "new and improved" way that is currently online. :td:

Bill from Hyatt E-Commerce here. Session timeouts are set to 10 minutes which means 10 minutes of inactivity resets your session. Our logs show this value works for virtually all users. Could you please describe the situations where this timeout value is causing you a problem? Thanks.

website seems to be down again (at least it is for me.)

Down for me as well - I get the maintenance message...

A suggestion to GP Concierge - like Starwood, Hyatt should have an alternate site for booking reservations in exchange for bonus points when the reservation lines are especially busy (or vice versa, getting bonus points for booking over the phone when the website is down).

Nice to have you here.

Quite frequently I'm in the middle of looking at my Hyatt Gold Passport account (e.g., reconciling what posted vs. what I had requested [points vs. miles]... that's a different thread, though). I switch to a different window to do something else "briefly", and when I switch back, I find that it was not brief enough, my hyatt.com session has timed out.

If I didn't trust my Web browser to let it memorize my password, I'd be even more annoyed. As it stands, if I were in the middle of a search, for example, it's annoying for the search to be lost and have to start over when I have to log in again due to the aggressive timeout.

any updates on the website? i still can't get in...
