Hyatt.com/GP.com---Website Issues
Dear Flyertalk Community,
While I am aware that there is currently a thread concerning the issues you may have encountered on our Hyatt.com website, I have taken the liberty of starting a new thread on this topic. The purpose of this thread is to help provide us with specific details of the problems that are being encountered on a user level. The reason for starting a new thread, as opposed to utilizing the old one, is for quality monitoring purposes, and making sure that the issues that we are looking into are current and applicable to our new website. When posting an issue onto this thread, I ask that you specify whether it occurred on the Hyatt.com or the GoldPassport.com website, and to provide as many details as possible. Screenshots are welcome, and will allow us to pinpoint your specific error. However, please keep in mind to "black-out" any personal information. GRRR
Hi all. I will kick it off. I am trying to make reservations for my parents' 50th anniversary, for which certain days of my stay are unavailable. Lots of trial and error involved. When I input the dates, and try to reserve, I get a kaleidoscope of errors, starting with the dreaded HTTP Status 500 error. When trying to go back to the input screen, no data is retained, requiring me to reenter everything. Sometimes it happens at the room selection screen, other times after inputting name, addy, cc, etc. Now I am getting the session timeout when just starting fresh. It is very frustrating. I have limited time to do this, and have now spent about an hour this time.

JBoss Error
After selecting dates of stay at a location, at the booking screen i wanted to price a few other dates so I attempt to edit the reservation to update the date and I get the following JBoss error. The website is http://jacksonvilleairport.place.hya...equestid=10646, but issue has occurred at several different Hyatt location websites.

When I go to the GoldPassport.com site my name shows up and a blank password field shows up, as expected. I have to enter my password and click the Sign In button to proceed. The problem is that when I enter my password and then click the Sign In button, nothing happens. Literally. My workaround is to click the "I'm not FIRSTNAME LASTNAME" link twice (clicking it the 1st time does nothing). That brings me to a slightly different page where entering my GP number and password and clicking Sign In button does work. |

The department tasked with improving our websites has informed me that they have located the source of the 500 errors and are currently working on a solution. While a fix will not happen in the next day or two, we are hoping to have this issue resolved shortly. Now that they know exactly when/where the problem lies, it will be much easier to correct this type of error. In the meantime, please continue to post issues that you are coming across, including the 500 errors. Our IT department will continue to look into the other problems that have arisen with our respective websites, and I will be sure to keep you all informed as they are fixed. I believe the speed of the website is the slowest of any major corporation. It occurs on PCs, Macs and phone devices.

One consistent issue I have noticed is with broken links to hotel properties from my reservations view.
1. Sign in to Hyatt.com with Gold Passport profile 2. Go to My Reservations page: http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/reservati...servations.jsp 3. Directly underneath each reservation confirmation, the name of the hotel is listed as a blue link. However, each link points to http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/reservations/null rather than the property's home page on hyatt.com. This is highly frustrating as it means I have to type the name of the hotel into a search engine to actually get to the hotel's page. If anyone can confirm that this happens to them, maybe that will increase the priority of this issue. |
I can't log into either site with either my GP# or my user id. I'm using IE7.

Trouble logging in with user ID (using both IE8 and Firefox 3.6.3)
Since about 2 weeks ago, I have had to use my GP# to log in...and generally I have to repeat this 2-3 times, as often the system rejects my initial attemp to login every time. I thought that this had been a problem with cookies and I cleared them out; however, there seems to be something else at play, here.

Can't log in to GP.com
When trying to log in to goldpassport.com, I received the following error:
"An unexpected error has occurred while attempting to process your request. Please try again later. For assistance, please contact Hyatt Gold Passport Customer Service at 1-800-30-HYATT or your nearest Worldwide Reservation Center. " I am using Internet Explorer 8.0. This error is similar to that received in a similar situation in the past (1-2 months ago). It seemed to resolve itself but is now back. Have been trying most of the day; was successful in getting into the site first thing this morning but later in the day it was completely inaccessible. |

Wow, what is going on with reservations today!? I can't get anything to come up... when I click on "rooms & rates" the list is just blank?? :confused:

GP Registration problems
end of the registration I got "error" message offer
is discontinued. I used XXXXX as user name during registration. When I tried to register again I got message: "You are currently remembered as an existing member of Hyatt Gold Passport. If you are not this member, please click here. Otherwise, please sign-in ." When I try to sign-in using my username and password I get error message: "The username or Hyatt Gold Passport account number you entered is invalid. Please check it and try again." Only help what I keep getting from GP Customer Service is. -------------- Thank you for your recent message regarding your membership in Hyatt Gold Passport. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you. Unfortunately, I am experiencing difficulty in locating your Gold Passport account. Is there a possibility that an alternate name or mailing address that might be listed? --------------- After several of these "automated" emails back and forth GP Customer Service the issue is not resolved and tried again to register with same username originally used and website says that it is in use. Would like to know if someone is actually looking this issue ? |

Another glitch
When making a reservation and inputting an airport code, such as BOS, when the map and list of properties appear, the BOS has expanded to "Boston Logan International Airport, Boston, MA". If you then want only to search for Summerfield Suites or Hyatt Place properties, when you input either of those and click on the [Find Hotels] button, you get the following error page:

500 Error
Logged in and made one reservation at Hyatt.com. Went back to make a second reservation and received the following (Using IE 8). Looks a bit like the authentication is timing out (quite possible as it was a several minutes before I went back to make the second reservation) and the application isn't handling the error very well.

Passport plus is popping up erratically when an award room is unavailable, and then cannot be booked. I found this when checking for space at the PH Vendome. I've checked for space there a number of times; this is the first time the Passport Plus page surfaced.

Hotel Links in My Reservations not Functional
When viewing My Reservations on Goldpassport.com, each reservation has a link to that particular hotel. For quite some time, those links have not worked.
Also, on Hyatt.com, I get those 500 exception errors referenced in post #35 all the time. If I get interrupted while making a reservation, it times out. |
Can't Access Folios
I thought this issue had been resolved, but I still cannot access folios from Account Activity on Goldpassport.com.

Hey dealdetective my name is Brock and I am one of the new gold passport concierges. I will look into the issue of not being able to view your folio's online. From what I have heard is if the stay was manually posted (having to call in and have it posted by a rep) you will not be able to view the folio online. Also, I know that some people who have mozilla firefox for a web browser have been able to view their folios. I will dig deeper into this issue and get back to you as soon as I find out the most up to date information.
