Also, I know that some people who have mozilla firefox for a web browser have been able to view their folios. Thanks, Brock, and welcome! It doesn't seem to matter what browser I use or whether the stay was posted manually or automatically. I get the following message for all my stays:

Your Folio is not currently available.

Please try again later. For more information please call {Property Phone #}.

Seems that whenever I modify a reservation, for any reason, my GP# is always removed from the reservation. It disappears from My Reservations page and then I have to add it back by adding the GP#.

Kenbo,

I have forwarded on your post to our IT department to look into. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I apologize for the inconvience.

Eek! Can't believe that the system is down! ('503 Service Temporarily Unavailable')! On top of that I agreed to do the on-line survey!

Same here, but I assume that info. is totally dependent on said 'reservations systems'!

I'm officially embarrassed for Hyatt. www.hyatt.com just comes up with a JBoss welcome page that exposes the underlying application server.

C'mon guys, at LEAST make an error page that's Hyatt branded, rather than exposing your underlying technical implementation. I understand some services are not 24/7 but this is really unacceptable for a multinational corporation.

slocouple Jun 11, 2010 9:32 am

Trying to see upcoming reservations:
Sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties and were unable to complete your request.

We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused. Our system has automatically logged this error, but if you want to give us some more details, please visit our website feedback form.

You can try hitting the back button and refreshing the screen to see if that gets you back on track or contact our reservation center to make a reservation.

Hi baliktad,

I am happy to report, that as of today we do indeed have a Hyatt branded technical difficulties page, I apologize for any inconvience and we do realize that this was long overdue.

How does this happen?

I can't seem to paste a screen print of this, but while searching rates in Austin, I got a Hyatt Place background with the HR Lost Pines shown in the upper left corner but rates for Hyatt Place Austin/Arboretum.

Hyatt Place Home > Hotel Locations > Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa > Hotels > Rates

Reservation Summary
Hyatt Place Austin/Arboretum
Austin Texas USA

Good Day: for obvious safety reasons/concerns I would suggest and recommend nobody log in their accounts using the link provided in the above quoted "electronic" communication.

SEAUAKID Jun 17, 2010 9:37 pm

Just now logged into my GP account, and can no longer see the number of BWB nights I've earned. Instead, there is a paragraph asking me if I would like to register for the BWB promotion.

Argh..

Big Hyatt Website / System Reliability Problems

I am currently in Hong Kong trying to make several Hyatt reservations. I first tried the website, which has given a "technical difficulties" response when a specific hotel/date is requested. It suggests I call the reservations number. When I do so, I get a rather odd recording saying that there are technical difficulties and that I should use hyatt.com or "call back in about an hour". It also offers the option of holding for assistance. When I do so, I end up on perma-hold with no answer after 20 minutes (good music on hold though!). The system has so far been inaccessible, as has the res office, for over 90 minutes.

While no system has 100 per cent up-time, Hyatt seems to have an inordinate number of problems. Worse though, is the odd way it is handled, with a generic "call back in about an hour", and the website and 800 number each suggesting the other while neither is functioning.

I am just slightly suspicious, given that it is late Saturday night, that the system is perhaps down for updates / maintenance, and/or that Omaha is closed. Unclear, but pretty bad.

I represent several owners of Hyatt properties, and think they'd be pretty grouchy to learn that they're not getting reservations services and booking capability through the website (for which they pay a pretty penny) as promised.

Has anyone else had similar problems, especially on a Saturday night?

tom911 Jun 20, 2010 12:56 am

I booked 9 nights, finishing up just about an hour ago (combination award and paid). Checking now, though, I get:

Unexpected Error
Unfortunately our booking system was unable to process your reservation request. Please try again.

If you have any questions about your reservation, please call 1-800-633-7313 in the United States and Canada. For international contact information, select the Hyatt Contact Numbers link.
It's just coming up on 0200 Omaha time on a Sunday morning which would seem to be an ideal time for web site maintenance.

Have you tried a Twitter message? I did that earlier this year when it was about 3 in the morning and they answered immediately.

zenexplorer Jun 20, 2010 4:01 am

Twitter and Res.

I'm obviously a technology neaderthal / Luddite, as I didn't realize that you could send twitter messages to Hyatt in regard to reservations.

Thanks for the info.

There is a long sticky thread in this forum covering hyatt website problems. Lots of posts. If you represent multiple hyatt owners, maybe have a look and approach corporate to take the problems more seriously. It's 2010 - a working website is neither rocket science nor a nice-to-have.

Actually I will be. The website /overall systems reliability is clearly below a reasonably expected level. And my most recent experience with wacky recordings suggesting to call back "in about an hour" or hold into oblivion (why should the wait time be ultra-long when the system is actually down?) seems reflective of a less than rigorous approach to the issues. Very un-Hyatt in many ways, and very unfortunate.

chrisksc Jun 25, 2010 4:51 am

The website is telling me my check-out date is before my check-in date. Clearly, there is nothing wrong with my entry except the website said there is.

Having been trying for a few hours now and still not working.

Anyone having the same problem?

When I try to click thru my reservations to the hotel page, I simply get

Sorry, we're having trouble finding that page.

This has been going on for at least a week. I'm having to google to get to the hotel home page.

It seems like this is the same issue I reported almost two months ago in this thread. I'm not sure the problem has even been acknowledged by the Hyatt.com IT team.

I agree it's highly annoying to have a broken link to the property for each reservation.
