Due to the special conditions associated with this reservation you may view, but not change it within this website. Please return to where the reservation was originally confirmed to make modifications or cancellations.

If you are trying to modify or cancel a Gold Passport Award reservation please call 1-800-30-HYATT.

Why? It's only a simple cancellation that is within the cancellation period.

Apparently -- this is Hyatt's policy!

screwy res amend problem

Have an existing res which I made last week, one night, using client corp code for 10% off Hyatt rate of 190 eur = 171 eur.

Rechecking today, see that Hyatt rate is now 170 eur, so check that I can still get corp rate (now 153) - fine. Go into res, select amend, choose room and find that now only the grand twin is available at 153, the grand king is still 171.

Go back to fresh booking, yes both grand and twin are available at 153. Oh well, decide to just amend existing booking and call that morning to ask for king, go back to amend, choose grand twin @ 153, confirm, get conf page, check 'my res' and it's still showing the original booking @ 171. Try again, same response.

V weird. Ended up booking a new room and cancelling the old one.

Hyatt IT really is piss-poor. Thankfully unlike the hotels :D

Pretty much the entire site seems to be down including the Global Home Page... It's completely shocking how much downtime there is on this site. Imagine how much they loose every minute because of it yet doesn't seem worth their while to deliver something more reliable/accurate.

"Service Temporarily Unavailable: The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

Could we also please update the web check-out for Diamond to now have a 4pm option? Been two weeks since the policy change and the site does not reflect this.

Agreed with the above posting, we used to be able to at least cancel award/gift certificate reservations online - why the loss of that functionality? I book all my gift certificate reservations online so telling me that I have to cancel it through the means I booked it doesn't make sense.... Gift Certs are not gold passport awards.

Hiya Linuxchick --love the nick! Am currently into Ubuntu.

Anyhow, the site is working now, at least for me. BTW, I always thought that the reason so many commercial websites are down so often is that good software people won't work on them as the work is are too boring.

I can't make any award reservation right now.

When I type a destination city, I got:

Sorry, no matches found for """"

and it brought me back to sign-in page.

I can't believe how incompetent the people running Hyatt website truly are.

I submitted a missing stay request, then I hit the back button and it went down. :)

The redirected home page http://216.205.86.51/ still has EQ info from Japan.

Bill from Hyatt E-Commerce here. There is an issue with the central reservation system impacting all channels including Hyatt.com. We anticipate having service restored quickly. Sorry for the inconvenience. Just wanted to let you know what was happening.
