And down again when trying to click through to rates.

Looks like hyatt.com is currently down. I'm wondering if this is related to the outages @ UA, AA, IB, AF, intercontinental, and a few other groups..

All of my future reservations online are not showing up. Confirmed this with another FTer..

Can't make a reservation online for the past 2 hours. Hope they fix this soon as I am really pissed at the their agents right now and don't want to have to talk to them if I can avoid it.

I made a reservation about two hours ago, and have not been able to make any since that time.

Just still don't get it how Hyatt can afford not to fix this fricking issue with the website? It is the most unreliable travel website as of late.

I've wondered the same thing, especially during mid-December.. However, the website has worked just fine for me since then..

Here is an interview with Hyatt's CIO that offers some insights into their IT operations. Looks like pretty much everything is outsourced. Not necessarily bad, but it seems some of their providers just plain suck.

Still down trying to get availability for New York - aggravating.

FriendlySkies Jan 6, 2011 5:02 pm

Looks like Hyatt.com is completely off line.. Anybody else experiencing this?

What the heck is the deal with not getting confirmations for reservations made on the web site? And why is there no link to "send me a copy of this reservation" like there is on every other hotel web site out there?

I got an email confirmation for the booking I made last night.

I generally print confirmations from the website into a pdf file for record keeping.

While pretty slow, I have always gotten email confirmations.. Though I do wish they had an option to email the conf to you..
