Appreciate the help.
I had a Nacra catamaran myself, hence my name. The area is relatively small where you can take the cat. You have to stay within the protection of the reef and you have to make sure not to wander out near the "runway". It is free and you can't say much about else is free so there's that. It was fun, but I think we only have did it twice in the week we were there.

Hmm. Currently wondering whether to do the same for mine (end Mar) as well!

On the one hand, there's that point about higher revenue cost and hope for better upgrade options. On the other, I think I might actually prefer the renovated beach villa...

thanks guys

I was able to change my booking right now after this post, was at beach villa and now 5 nights at water villa for the same amount 380.000

The upgrade cost was: superior water villa - 300 USD plus tax
retreat water villa - 500 + tax

any idea if that will go down or it will be the same amount charged to upgrade?

I think the question was: Can anyone report on upgrade costs from Water Villas (now bookable at standard points level).

My reservation was booked into 5 nights BV using 380k points. I have agreed to pay upgrade cost of upgrading the last 2 nights into WV. (Stay is in Feb 2018)

Now since WV can be booked with 380k points, I really wondering if I should cancel it and rebook 5 nights in WV, then let hotel to downgrade first 3 nights into BV, hoping to avoid the original WV upgrade fee? Shall I call HH or contact hotel?

Just mentioned to them that I've seen better prices online and waited for the prices to go a little bit lower online. From time to time prices drops couple of hundred dollars and then go up again

Could it be that you are logged in and don't have enough points? Then try logging out and searching again.

What exact dates are you looking for?

And on a side note regarding WVs now being available at the standard points rate: there are even dates where you can not get any BVs on points, but you can get WVs.
