Enjoy the lobster and be sure to report if the price has gone up!
We got 3 small lobsters for $62.

It was pretty good.

About 200-250g in total? And that's $62++, right?

My wife picked out a 600g lobster for her paella negra at Vilu. I didn't look at the itemized breakdown, but the meal wasn't cheap. If I'm not mistaken, the waiter quoted $30 per every 100g.

It's only $30++/100g at Vilu because Vilu is the only place it's cooked live.

Yes plus plus everything.

That Vilu price is accurate.

They only do the lobster with linguini dishes etc from what I heard.

I'm going to stay at this property in late November (which should be high season) and inquired about upgrade prices after booking my stay using Hilton points. Going to be my first time there! They first quoted me the following for upgrades:

Beach Villa to Water Villa - USD 250++
Beach Villa to Superior Water Villa - USD 350++
Beach Villa to Deluxe Beach Villa - USD 400++
Beach Villa to Retreat Water Villa - USD 550++
Beach Villa to Deluxe Water Villa - USD 700++
Beach Villa to Premier Water Villa - USD 1400++

I asked if he could offer me a better price and he came back with 20% off the above prices for upgrading 2 nights:

Beach Villa to Water Villa - USD 200++
Beach Villa to Superior Water Villa - USD 280++
Beach Villa to Deluxe Beach Villa - USD 320++
Beach Villa to Retreat Water Villa - USD 400++
Beach Villa to Deluxe Water Villa - USD 560++
Beach Villa to Premier Water Villa - USD 1120++

In terms of requesting certain villas, how much in advance do you request (I know they are not guaranteed). Thanks!

Hello all! Still daydreaming about returning to the Conrad. In the meantime though, I have completed some reviews:

Beach Villa Review
Deluxe Beach Villa Review
Superior Water Villa Review

I'm still working on wrapping up reviews on the restaurants, activities, and general thoughts but figured I'd get these room ones up now! I don't do a ton of trip reports so still getting my bearings as far as photos and such but hopefully these are helpful.

Thanks for the data points. I'll add to the wiki if necessary.
As far as specific rooms go, sending them an email a week or two out is fine.

Hi! Has anyone stayed at Rangali with a young child (1-2 years old)? I'd be interested in what your experience was like. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to share on here.

Thanks!

We stayed here for the first time when our daughter was two and we had a great time. We have been back when she was four and will be back with her in three days now that she is six.

Do you have any specific questions or concerns?

Did you bring your own food, and were there diapers there? I'm happy to bring enough in case it's exorbitantly expensive.

Besides the quiet zone pool, are there any other no kid areas? Can we bring her to the complimentary tea time and happy hour?

Did you use the babysitting service?

Thank you goliath!
