I can't believe nobody has posted one of my absolute favourites: Loving Annabelle
I watch it often, which is very different for me as I have a horribly short attention span!

My absolute favourite movie of all time is Imagine Me & You. Just wonderful, and it doesn't hurt that Piper Perabo and Lena Headey are gorrrrrgeous...

Others I enjoy (that I can remember!) are;

Latter Days
But I'm A Cheerleader
Better than Chocolate
Bring It On
(Eliza Dushku, yes please!)
Bound
Coffee Date
The Birdcage

Anyone see the documentary:

For the Bible told Me So

I saw it a few weeks ago and was truly moved. One of the best "gay" movies I had ever seen. In a nutshell, it follows 5 very fundamentalist families all of whom have a gay son or daughter and how they deal (or not). There are some very moving redemptions.

Dick Gephart (politician) is one of the families profiled.

+1. I actually had some conversation with Scott Heim (the author of the book) waaaaaaayyyyy back in my AOL days because he's from Kansas like me and based his book in and around Hutchinson.

Also another vote for Latter Days. My friends and I all love that movie - hunky Mormons, trials and tribulations, and an ending that'll make you bawl your eyes out. With joy.

So I can't believe nobody has mentioned:

1. Get Your Stuff (very touching film about a couple of gay men struggling with parenthood)

2. Eating Out (Lighthearted and funny) also has Ryan Carnes (sp?) from Desperate Housewives in a scene where you get to see well... watch the movie to find out... it will be worth it!

A Swedish movie I saw at the film festival this year, Patrik Age 1,5 was pretty good. Its about a couple that think that they're adopting an 18 month old, but because of a typo, what they get is an angry homophobic 15 year old. It didn't get too cliched.

The other was a French Movie, Baby Love, about a guy who wants to adopt (which is still illegal in France), but is denied. So he cooks up a scheme to "marry" an Argentine art student in exchange for her womb. Oh what tangled webs we weave when at first we try to deceive.
