What can I say - I'm just an average guy from the Midwest!
I'm a pharmaceutical consultant, so most of my time is spent flying around to client sites. The past two years I have been contracted with bolgerp's company, so he and I have become good friends. He's got some amazing friends in London, and I love visiting there every chance I get. I've also had the opportunity to take him on his best business trip ever - to TYS! (He will never forget that experience!)
I've never been to the BA Lounge, so no worries there. I'm a CO guy, and fly them almost exclusively.
My partner and I are always looking for amazing vacation destinations, so feel free to send me some ideas

Hi all!
I posted an intro in the old thread, but it’s about time for an update. My handle is a bit of a misnomer nowadays. I am a former strategy consultant of 5+ years who did a lot of traveling for work (mostly *A for flights and *wood for hotels). My home base was ORD, which explains the years of being 1K on UA. I’ve recently taken time off to get my MBA, so my jet-setting days are few and far between. When I do travel, my flights take me to exotic vacations instead of stressful client meetings, so I can’t complain!
FT has been a great way for me to get and share travel tips. I did stints all across Europe, in Russia, and in South Africa for work. My favorite vacations include going on safari in Kenya and winetasting in Stellenbosch, South Africa (am a HUGE fan of Africa). On my long list of places to visit are China and SE Asia, S America, and Australia/NZ, so please keep those recommendations coming! If I can’t travel regularly, at least I can live vicariously through (LGBT) FTers!!!

Wow, with some of the time off over the holidays I've had a chance to get caught up a bit. I'm not new to Flyertalk at all and have been around since 2001 and for a point an active moderator and gay forum event planner (Remember the Philly - Do?). A lot has happened in the past four years including leaving a very boring job and today having the opportunity to work with the Salesforce.com Foundation and dozens of large charities and educational institutions around the world.
My travel tends to be longhaul, with 3-4 Transatlantic trips, a trip to Argentina every year, and a seemingly a trip every month to mainland europe. This past year my trip to Israel and the West Bank was probably the most interesting.
I hope to still be a good resource from time to time and look forward to events in London.
Chris

Chance to get caught up? If you're in London now, it's 2:22am!
Notwithstanding the lateness of the hour (and the fact that you must have a lot of catching-up to do if you're doing it in the wee small hours) welcome back and welcome here, Chris!

Hi Boys and Girls
Hi kids.
I'm new, but apparently I signed on to this thread years back! I saw my old handle in the list (popestar), but don't remember the password, and have since transitioned to this new one. So, goodbye to popestar from Madison WI, and replace him with jra3, who is now located in Chicago, IL.
I'm 27, a healthcare IT consultant (sexy, right?), and only find myself staying in the same place for four hours at a time when I'm in the air between ORD and SFO.
Cheers, pleasure to re-make your acquaintances.

hello
I'm new here, so just to say I appreciate the information I've found here so far.
And I really enjoyed the story of Joeykins's trip on BA - I don't know about the "cute Geordie" FA but if the cabin crew had included that cute FA from Barcelona who moonlights as one of London's most popular male escorts, he might well have been able to arrange that "sensual massage"
I travel a lot, mainly to Oz and Latin America, and am keen on theatre, politics and gym

I recall adding my name here a *long* time ago, but I suppose it's time to refresh. My story hasn't changed all that much, I'm still in IT outsourcing and spending a lot of time on planes. This past year was spent commuting between the East Coast and London, with trips to LA, Chicago, Seattle, Zurich, Brussels, Milan, Barcelona, Bonn and Singapore thrown in. After spending my entire career flying AA, I became a huge BA fan this year on my many TATL trips.
I call DC home and have a place on the shore in Delaware, but I have about six weeks off now and I'm spending the cold months in South Beach loving the weather. I keep thinking I need to plan a fun trip, but I'm having such a good time being in one (warm) spot I haven't come up with anything yet - I know, what's wrong with me?! If anyone has any good ideas, let me know!
