BTW - here's a handy thread from the AA forum that solves this issue: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...=#post27208721
It allows you to print an actual ticket receipt with your ticket numbers, versus just printing out the copy of the reservation from the website. I usually do this because everything fits onto a single page whereas the reservation printout via the AA website uses several pages. I have had several reservations since Covid-era and I have noticed that ‘Print Ticket receipt ‘ has disappeared as an option so I have had to call to get ticket numbers ….which is usually given over the phone. |

We arrive in Paris on Nov. 27th. Should we apply for the Pass Sanitaire now or is it too soon? Wouldn’t want to overwhelm the system by sending our application too soon. Thank you.

Well I went up to Aiguille du Midi cable car this morning. Nobody asked for Pass Sanitaire. The cable cars were packed. The forecast is for rain the day after tomorrow so people are going to come out while it's clear and sunny.
Then I went on a train to the Mer de Glace glacier, using the same Multipass as the cable car. They did ask for Pass Sanitaire and the trains were not packed and windows could be opened. Once at the summit, you can visit the Ice Caves but there were signs saying you needed a Pass Saintaire. You had to hike quite a distance from the upper Mer de Glace train station down to the glacier. I took a gondola down but from there you still had to go down multiple sets of stairs. I estimated 15-20 more minutes of walking down stairs, then visit the Ice Cave (burrowed into the glacier) and then you have to walk up lots and lots of stairs. I bailed. Not only because of the walking up and down the stairs but because I didn't want to wait another hour for the next train. I had already spent almost an hour around the observation decks. In any event, I wondered if they would have taken my CDC card. They should since they checked it at the base train station to let me onboard. |
Adam1222…. Then I stand corrected. As I said AA no longer seems to generated your confirmation receipt automatically after reservation is ticketed. I’ve also noticed they do not automatically send your confirmation emails and reservations can sit in some sort of days or weeks long queues until you realize it hadn’t been ticketed which prompts you to call.
This ticket was an exchange and the exchange had a schedule change several months later which meant new ticketing. In any case I did get ticket numbers that time and I have printed my receipt and created a PDF but I cannot edit out my AA#. |

Whatever you get when you log in to AA.com that shows your reservation, print it to a PDF. Im not sure what your concern is with your Advantage Account number is. You are sharing far more personal information.

The advantage # is printed on the ticket receipt which has the ticket numbers. The multi paged reservation confirmation email has the record locator and the ticket numbers and AA #.
When I log into my account….it does not show ticket numbers but it is multi paged and it does include the AA # of both travelers. If I email trip details to myself…. It does not include either…only the itinerary and names of passengers and seats. I took a photo of this . Is this what I would use? So we do not need to show ticket numbers ….correct? |

Your browser probably has a "save as pdf" option in the print menu (Google Chrome does on Windows at least). Otherwise, Google PDFCreator.
Based on what I've seen posted in tripadvisor and rick steves forums, some people are using one and some people are using the other, although I have no idea if it makes a difference to those who process the form. |
[QUOTE=exp;33549530]Well I went up to Aiguille du Midi cable car this morning. Nobody asked for Pass Sanitaire. The cable cars were packed. The forecast is for rain the day after tomorrow so people are going to come out while it's clear and sunny.
Visions of crowded spots like that float through your mind when getting ready to test for the flight home. I was relieved to get my negative, more so because of my business award seat, which I figured I’d lose. Seems we’ve all been lucky but as I plan to head back, it’s hard to ignore the possibility of getting stranded for a while. |
You may be right about that but as it happened I was on a J award ticket last month and a day or two before I took my return flight test, I went to Bergamo, Italy where I rode the funicular which was also way packed.
I didn't catch it then and before coming on this current trip, I got a PCR test at home and no sign of infections then. I'm not saying I'm bullet proof. My preference is that they would have capacity-controlled those cable cars, which do take awhile to go up the mountain. Unfortunately when you plan these trips, you don't know how they're going to handle things. Even when you buy the ticket, you don't know until you board how full it's going to be. They were departing every 10-20 minutes but I guess they were determined to make sure to accommodate everyone that showed up. Odd thing is, they have an online appointment system and it looked wide open for the time I wanted to visit so I waited until the morning and it turns out you can only do online reservations up to 2 PM of the previous day. But they were accommodating people who walked up in addition to those who had done online reservations. My guess is most people were buying in person rather than online, which makes sense because you don't know what the weather is going to be like and it's an expensive ticket. |
Just arrived at Gare de Lyon on TGV from Zurich. Other than the conductor asking for our tickets, no one asked for pass sanitaire/QR code or anything else.
