It appears from one of your prior posts that you are currently in France. Did you try and were you able to receive a passe somewhere while in France? Have you needed the passe or have you been able to use your CDC card to gain entrance to restaurants and other places?
I only got a paper copy of the eu digital covid certificate. Is there any way to get a version online? |

I had hotels call all the places I went to the first few days to ensure they accept a foreign vaccine card. After I managed to get my vaccine card converted at a pharmacy.

Let’s see what comes of this for those of us planning to travel in the near future |
That could indeed put a crimp in certain plans.

What's the cheapest antigen test you guys have found in Paris? By law, they're going to 15EUR this week in Italy. Is something similar happening in France?

It isn't the passport that counts -- it's where you're coming from.

It is supposed to be €25 everywhere but some pharmacies and labs charge €29. Not sure how the differential is justified.

I just saw this on TripAdvisor - evidently there's a new site to submit the requests. It's easier and can be done online with the ability to monitor the status of your request: https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr...gers?locale=en
Apparently, the new system started on August 27. This was the auto reply I received. |

Anyone get a quicker response from this new online system?
The website didn't work smoothly with my Chrome browser; for some of the fields that must be chosen from a list, I couldn't see all the options. But when I started to type "Etats Unis", that option showed up. My fingers are crossed for this working and France & Switzerland keeping the borders open. |
Is the new online system in French only? Thanks.

As mentioned by others, the recommendation does not appear to apply to vaccinated Americans. |
