It appears from one of your prior posts that you are currently in France. Did you try and were you able to receive a passe somewhere while in France? Have you needed the passe or have you been able to use your CDC card to gain entrance to restaurants and other places?

I had hotels call all the places I went to the first few days to ensure they accept a foreign vaccine card. After I managed to get my vaccine card converted at a pharmacy.
I only got a paper copy of the eu digital covid certificate. Is there any way to get a version online?

If you have a paper copy, you scan the qr code into the Tous Anti Covid app, which will then store the code you can just show on your phone

Let’s see what comes of this for those of us planning to travel in the near future

That could indeed put a crimp in certain plans.

I am expecting that potential new restrictions will affect only non-vaccinated travelers.

What's the cheapest antigen test you guys have found in Paris? By law, they're going to 15EUR this week in Italy. Is something similar happening in France?

I think it's around 25 EUR in France and I believe it is the same price everywhere.

Agh! I've been in Italy for two months (I'm a dual US-Italian citizen). We are flying to Paris on Wednesday, would we be denied entry? My wife is working on her Italian citizenship but hasn't gotten it yet and my daughter (2 years old) is Italian as well, but only has an American passport.

It isn't the passport that counts -- it's where you're coming from.

It is supposed to be €25 everywhere but some pharmacies and labs charge €29. Not sure how the differential is justified.

I just saw this on TripAdvisor - evidently there's a new site to submit the requests. It's easier and can be done online with the ability to monitor the status of your request: https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr...gers?locale=en

Anyone get a quicker response from this new online system?

Apparently, the new system started on August 27. This was the auto reply I received.

Since August 27, the requests for QR code are made online.

I tried this yesterday, but the "France Connect" website didn't seem to accept my registration (the online process was previously only for those with french passports who were vaccinated outside the EU). I tried it again today with apparent success (I got a confirmation email with a dossier #).

The website didn't work smoothly with my Chrome browser; for some of the fields that must be chosen from a list, I couldn't see all the options. But when I started to type "Etats Unis", that option showed up.

My fingers are crossed for this working and France & Switzerland keeping the borders open.

Is the new online system in French only? Thanks.

As mentioned by others, the recommendation does not appear to apply to vaccinated Americans.
