The guy is a multi-millionaire off sharing good information and flying around the world in first class. I don’t think he gives a dam about what we think frankly. Has anyone else noticed that he’s also become quite agressive towards people in the comments who can be critical of him? It’s odd behavior I’ve never seen him exhibit in six years of reading the blog.
I thought his report on how they went to Turkey with the masks and face shields was crazy, and I actually laughed out loud reading it. I can only imagine him being that guy wearing all this PPE gear, moving away from you if you get within seven feet of him, and then having to disrobe all of it when it’s time to eat in J... I just don’t think he really gives an ef what anyone has to say or thinks anymore, and who could blame him? It’s worked out quite well for him.
I am disappointed that he goes on these political rants on a travel blog only to then have his actions totally contradict what he says. Also since there’s nothing to write about now because of COVID, I’m getting a little sick of the constant credit card offers he keeps posting about. We get it, that’s how you make your money. But this is probably to worst time to start dangling points/CC offers now in front of people who don’t know anything about this game. Particularly since we don’t even know what points will be useful or hold any value when we come out of this thing.

is this anything like getting sick of people complaining about the same thing about travel blogs? There's nothing new about this from Lucky or any other blogger. This should not be surprising to anyone. How many pages back do I need to go to find the first complaint about Ben's liberalism, credit card slinging, or being all around weird in addressing criticism?

Secondly this is the first time I’ve seen him get so aggressive towards people who criticize him in the comments section. He use to just ignore people, but now he’ll get into aggressive arguments and attacks with people in the comments which seems very odd and out of character.

Except given the pandemic, I would say that pushing credit card offers aggressively as he has been doing is maybe not the most ethical thing given the times.

That being said, the "word-by-word" recycling of credit card articles from 2 years ago is pretty annoying, especially the 4 or 5 Aspire articles in a row.

To be fair there's not much original content to post if he hasn't been taking any trips for months at a time. There's only so many covid articles he can publish that we haven't already seen everywhere else a million times.

Also re: regarding having dormant writers listed on the website. It was my understanding that those people were working at his pointspros business that helps people redeem their points?

Where's the acqusation coming from? I haven't heard that rumor, and I assumed he was just charging clients and arm and a leg for planning + also getting them to sign up for credit cards.

Let's say I'm "managing" a bunch of accounts and Client "A" needs Marriott point but has a ton of Alaska points, But Client "B" needs Alaska points and has a ton of Marriott points..... is that part of a "service" ? or is that "brokering" ?.
