Is it the best business practice to promote Avianca miles purchaes?
Not to mention :
- the bankruptcy, dependency or possible collapse of Avianca/Lifemiles
- the uncertainty of covid19travelrestrictions
With the lure of the use of Lufthansa first class photos, two posts in 2 days:https://onemileatatime.com/omaat-lifemiles-promo/
https://onemileatatime.com/lifemiles-award-sale/
- just scratched my head!?

Business in the industry of writing about travel promotions, writes about travel promotion with unprecedented discount. Occurs during period of travel restrictions, so warns readers to make their own financial judgement.

Every major affiliate blogger gets the same heads up on the new offers (and hilariously sometimes they get other bloggers not under affiliate deals to abide by an embargo too, suckers) and they all just recycle the post the ran the last time, maybe just updating what the new bonus mile would get you (A round trip economy ticket to Europe, assuming the airline doesn't devalue their program in COVID induced bankruptcy? Sign me up!)

I think his explanation that it's essentially a six-week relocation, and the explicit discouragement of others from traveling, makes this obviously different than blogs that are promoting trips to Disney World and other theme parks, or otherwise explicitly encouraging their marketing targets to travel and sign up for a bonus from one of their advertisers. I think if you fail to see that distinction, you are not operating in good faith.

The merits of traveling at the moment have been litigated to death at this point, no need to feign outrage over supposed outrage anyone.
A genuine question, for everyone to reflect on.
Say a Chinese blogger from Wuhan not only went on a trip during January at the top of their curve (where in fact their daily rate of infection was lower than the current state in Florida) but promoted it to his large audience, who may not be a careful during a global pandemic as the blogger is. Does any reasonable person believe that the reaction to what their doing would be to the same what Lucky is doing? Or is their some sort of other privilege and bias in favor of Lucky that shields him from that outrage.
just my two cents.

I think theres a huge difference between a summer vacation and escaping a failed state with incompetent leaders.
Lucky is a refugee. Shame he didnt take his parents with him.
That being said, Turkey would not have been on my list of places to resettle in.

Ah, travel outrage. 1/2 to 3/4 of a million people are traveling per day. But let's burn the bloggers at the stakes. At this point, it doesn't matter if someone travels or not. Though I'm personally not traveling at the moment, I have more issues with idiots going maskless to Home Depot than hopping on a plane to a country that is stupid enough to let Americans in.

Of course, one reason that 1/2 to 3/4 of a million people are traveling per day would be because "influencers" are encouraging them to do so....

I feel sorry for his pet dog!
The dog had abandoning issues and now Lucky and BF are out and about at Edition Bodrum.
I think they deserved their well-earned retreat as they are cashing in mucho points for a 6 week long award stay!
Might it be, that he has inside knowledge that devaluations are coming and he is keen to burn those points?
I find it all a bit vague - especially as he never bothered to post his review on Intercontinental Phoenicia Beirut while refering to it as a prize for an aspirational redemption of points with his IHG-creditcard hawking
